The Wests Tigers Lament Thread

I would like to have the one team wests tigers to cheer for in lower grades such as nsw cup. I don't support the Magpies I supports wests tigers.
St George don't get much right however they at least have realised the nsw cup should be the same side as nrl.

I know that's what you would like. I would like a real reason that would benefit the club before we kill off a club. Not some bullshit catchphrase like unity.

Magpies woukd still be in the junior grades what does it matter it been 20 odd years.

So saints went from the illawarra cutters to St George in reserves a few years ago. How has that helped them? What difference has it made to that cub?

makes it one club and not divided I get you are an old magpie fan so you want to keep them but if we want to move forward with COE and one club then unite the NSW Cup

I don't really see the harm in NSW cup being the magpies.

it's been 20 odd years though, most supporters wouldn't know who balmain or western suburbs are. Happynto watch nrlw before nrl on gameday as at least it is wests tigers

They are not merged clubs, no longer compete in the NRL but the lower level comp and why cant the Western Suburbs Magpies? Yes, they are a merged entity at the NRL level and I dont care about the Tiger name or emblem at the NRL level but I do care if my history is wiped out totally. How would you feel if it was the Magpie at the NRL level and the Tiger at the lower level and it was proposed to wipe out the Tiger for the convenience of a single brand that does not in any way give acknowledgement of the 'other merged club' symbols, history and heritage?

As you can tell from above I am perfectly happy with the Tiger at the NRL level and then the Magpie at the KOE / State Cup level underneath.

Roosters souths Manly and the like can pick whoever they want to represent them in nsw cup and they have with newtown and Norths.

I guess if they play KOE at lidcombe oval and not prior to main game I don't really have to worry about the Magpies as I don't see them play

How many times did they play before our home games this year? I went to the saints game at Parra and it was saints v parra in the woman's game.

I think they may have played once at Leichardt
I remember the campbletown game had no reserve grade or any pre match game which was stupid in itself

I don't know why they got rid if the NYC. That was ideal for game day. Full coverage on fox too I think.

that is annoying that in some cases it is just the one nrl game on gameday
