This forum has too many...

what im tired of is people saying oh folkes had these players ricky had these players bellamy has these player blah blah blah

those clubs recruited well, another flaw of sheens, and isnt it the point of winning games that you have a good team to coach? we have a good team over half of them have played or currently play rep footy

sheens was handed a raiders team full of stars, so is his work there more credible then stuarts at the roosters?

its funny how alot of you say these coaches were sucsessful only because they had start studded teams but neglet the fact that alot of them coached these players from a lower level up to grade or picked up left overs from other clubs and turned them into the stars they are and have reaped rewards of premierships for it

melbourne storm sure they paid overs to keep their players and got caught but slater inglis smith cronk falou hoffman white all debuted for them in FG even a couple of their premiership props were WT rejects who no-one here wanted

sheens had the perfect platform to build from in 05 and since its all gone backwards and to me though they wont say it seemed to have lost faith in coach sheens

I think I get dumber every time i am put through reading one of your mind numbing inaccurate rants. I have never really felt the need to post on this forum but you just throw your opinion around without ever even slightly considering the other side of the argument.

It's quite clear from reading your posts that you can't grasp the effect the salary cap has on the nrl, according to your logic every premiership team from 2001 to 2005 failed to take advantage of their "perfect platform". Newcastle, Bulldogs, Penrith, Roosters and us all experienced premiership success and then watched their squads get pulled apart, lost major talent, pay over for promising players that were not really at the level they were being payed and lost the ability to bring in new players. In fact the first team to experience constant success was Melbourne and now we have a very clear understanding of why.

In regards to the storm I couldn't agree more that they are brilliant at developing talent, seeing talent in players that no other clubs do and their recruitment of young players is second to none. But the salary cap doesn't care about that, if I had my way there would be a draft system and big concessions for developed/long serving talent, but that is not the point of this thread. The reason that the All mighty Bellamy was so successful is because he was able to keep every bit of talent that he developed unlike other clubs, he was able to keep his second tier talents so his club had superior depth and he was able to keep his talent while bringing in quality first grade players such has Croker, Finch, Quinn, Newton, Lowrie. Wow a club which is able to retain top tier talent, keep second tier talent, keep their juniors away from other clubs and bring in recongnised first graders. If the tigers could of kept Prince, Hodgson, Laffranci, Hofffman and a endless list of others I think even you could coach us to the top 8.

I don't care that you don't like sheens, I understand why people are frustrated and respect your opinion. I jsut wish others on this forum would respect our opinion and atleast pretend to hope we succeed this year.

Truth is,Sheens wld be looking a lot worse than Anderson and Stuart if it wasnt for the perfect storm in 05 which saved his career..for which I mite add were grateful
But 2005 is increasingly disappearing in the rear view mirror for most(but not all)of us,& its increasingly time to look forward.

roosters bulldogs penrith and the roosters have all experienced numerous finals appearence since they won the comp, i really dont understand your argument, they have all lost players yet still get results on the field, we dont

didnt mean to put roosters twice lol

Blah, Blah, Blah…

I think it's time the Managers of this Site start managing this place better. Everyone is entitled to there opinion, but at the end of the day, if the topic/conversation starts to sway, just delete the posts.

Ron won't stop pushing his agenda, plenty on here will argue, but none of it is productive to the Wests Tigers. Start cheering for your team people, and stop whinging like little girls.

Tim Sheens and the Wests Tigers don't really care what your/our opinions are! We come here because we all love the Tigers. Let's support/cheer the boys on, win, lose, or draw for the 2010 year!!!!!

Lol.

So you're saying you'll be fine with another 5 years of running 9th or 10th, Watto???

'05 was a long time ago now, we've gotta stop resting on our laurels and demand results.

no, I'm saying nobody at the WT's care what a bunch of peanuts think on a forum.

As a matter of fact, I'd doubt many on here know much at all about how the team is selected, managed or mentored.

This is the West Tigers Forum for supporters. Not the Wests Tigers Whingers Forum. All I'm saying is we should stop pretending we know more that the club, coach and players as to how to play the game Is played and start supporting the team…

I support and stand by the team. As do most on here as far as I can see. Some things are just bleeding obvious though, mate. And a supporters forum is the place for us to be able to vent. Do you seriously want to turn the moderation in to full blown censorship? Can't you just learn to have a chuckle at Ron's rants?

By the sounds of it you want us to all be happy when we see a selection that we all know is a bit 'odd' and think 'oh, it's okay, it's for the greater good' But you know that's b/s, mate. There are certain people who haven't deserved to make the side once, let alone week in week out.

But that's okay. No one should whinge or complain. We should just accept mediocre performances.

Tigga, I'm gona leave it there. I feel you are right and I feel you are wrong.

Lets hope we charge into the finals and win back some pride in 2010

That Fitzhenry article on ABC tells me this is incorrect.

Hmmm …Just read that areticle again....seems Sheens may have been referring to fans who hurl abuse at Fitzhenry at games as it was a quote from the post match interview by Sheens...

The journalist introduced the peanuts on Forums...

The player in question doesn't read them.....

Sheens doesn't mention forums either....

surely in their own time the players with internet access would check out this forum. just out of curiosity if anything. But i dont know how many of them can read.

I know of a few of them in the past have checked out the forum, none come here regularly as far as I know.

mate my point is that all of those teams declined immediatley after their success and the same occured at tigertown. Sure a few of those teams scraped into the finals the year after (which btw it appear as though we would of made a few more finals if it hadn't been for the salary stormers.)but in the end they declined as a club with the panthers, knights, bulldogs and roosters all finishing last, 4 years after there premiership (roosters finished 2nd last but you see my point.)

Just because it was immediate success doesn't mean it would not have as big of a effect on our list as it did their squads. In fact i believe we had a weaker squad and its just that we tactically out played the nrl to gain our premiership success. I think our list has got back to top 4 rating and i now believe its sheen's time to shine and everyone in tigertown incuding imself knows if he fails he is gone.

i think there was a reason we were 4-1, i think losing two halfbacks back to back is why we lost the next 4 and i think we are playing finals this year. People who know alot more about rugby league than you or i think sheens is the man for the job so why can't you back the club, back players and back the coach?

You could say that, you'd probably be wrong though as Fitzy & the journo both mention forums so you'd be safe to assume it'd be mentioned to sheens when doing the interview

Really….could be but lets break it down anyway

Rugby league fans on forums can be harsher than judges on reality TV, but Wests Tigers veteran Daniel Fitzhenry is targeted more than almost any other player in the NRL.
>
Even when he was a premiership player at the Tigers in 2005, Fitzhenry copped a pasting from supporters, and things have only gotten worse this season since he returned from the English Super League.
>
Every week on Tigers websites he is blasted as "pathetic" and belittled as being Tim Sheens's "love child".

Journalist,,,,,

**"I don't read the forums,** there's always someone who's got something bad to say about me," he said.
>
"I think everyone goes through that. But I just do my job and I feel like I'm part of the team and that's it. **I don't read them so I don't really care**

Fitzhenry......

"Fitzhenry had a great game at the back, he's been criticised heavily amongst fans, who call themselves fans. They give him plenty, but you try and catch a ball in that (Friday's conditions), he did great," Sheens said.
>
"Fitzhenry took a ball there that I don't think too many would, one of those high balls with the wind behind the kicker. It was a screamer and he swallowed it."

Sheens...taken pretty much word for word from here....post match interview....http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,865" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... 66,00.html

What Sheens repeated himself in a interview on the subject with Horne?

Past experience of pathetic little wankers hoping he breaks both legs, has a spinal injury or dies I would hazard a guess Mr. Burgandy
