This should be Blairs last contract with us.

Adam Blair has been going well for us this year but it is about as much as he will improve, this is the best of Blair..He gives away costly penalties, costly errors, holds the ball with one hand and loses it quite often.

I think we should be grooming Matt Woods or Brenden Santi to take over that position once Blairs contact comes to an end. We also have Liolevave who will be making the 12 his soon.

JESSE SUE!!!

He still has a year to run on his contract. If the playing group and the coach feel comfortable with his performances then I would say he deserves another contract at reasonable price. Not the marquee price we paid for him earlier.

Sue, Taupau & Gavet are three players that I would never have in my starting side, they just come on and finish what others have started.

Matt Woods is highly rated by the club and rightly so, he needs to gain 10-15 kilos to his frame like Sironen did.

good points milky, at first i was thinking resign for less but you're right. Probably best to bring along some of these younger kids like Santi, Lovett etc.

I reckon Thompson could move to lock. He would also be on a much cheaper contract then re-signing Blair. Move Thompson to lock and bring in Akauola to second row.

Two points I'd like to make.

1) Dont re-sign Blair..bottom line is he has failed to materialize into the one of the comps best forwards. We have better forwards in the pipeline for alot less $$$

2) Blair was a Sheens signing…the sooner we clear the decks from the Sheenius era the better the club will be...

Im not in any way a Blair critic or fan, in his defense though this year he has been alot better and tried his absolute ringer out but it would be irresponsible of the club to sign him again especially on anywhere near the money he's on.

His only contract you mean. And no way, he's playing better than he's ever played for us this yr, he's a forward leader. And Potter is a massive fan, i think if he's still here, Blair will be too.

Blair is one of these players that looks a million dollars when a team is firing and looks very average in a team that is struggling. That of course can be said for a lot of players, but unlike a player like Fulton or Farah, their is a massive swing between good games and bad games.

Once again who on the market is better????

He'll get an extension and see his NRL career at the tigers before a couple of years in the UK.

There are a few in our team that give away penalties on a consistent basis

Who remembers Bryce Gibbs ? He was the penalty king and then one season he matured
He stopped all the silly things he used to do and give away gifts.
Boy was i impressed or what..

experience is also a hard thing to replace. we cant be running out with 13 or 14 players next season out of the 17 who have less than 100 games. the only ones who i think would have played over 100 nrl games who will be a mainstay in the nrl would be Lawrence, Blair, Richards, Farah and Galloway. If three of them are leaving over the next two years maybe only Woods and Thompson will be able to a mass over 100 games in that time span. Blair needs to star on as a leader if his contract is similar to what it is then i would keep him. if he asks for a hell of a lot more then it might be time to ship him on and bring in players with NRL experience

Finally getting a forward pack with some balls certainly helped

Blair is the only forward that makes an error and does his utmost to fix it. He chases the unchaseables the length of the field and works his arse off. Yet people still bag him.

What a waste of money this guy has been. Hows our luck out of all the Melbourne forwards we could have signed we ended up with him. The sooner his holiday ends at the Wests Tigers the better.
Agree we need to clear the deck of all the Sheens signings both on and off the field.

I would absolutely re-sign Blair. Finally the Tigers are building a forward pack with a bit of size and skill and some people would prefer one of the runts we have coming through.

Blair is consistently making the second most amount of tackles after Farah. He has added something that has always been a Wests Tigers weakness which is offloads. He also does all the one percenters that don't show up on stats like a couple of people mentioned, which is chasing down a line break and communicating with the younger forwards on the field.

Plus his runs against Manly were some of the best I've seen all year, so I can't see how people can say he goes missing when we're losing. He didn't win back his NZ jumper this year for nothing.

Blairs experience is invaluable. There's no doubting his commitment to the team. For every error, there's a try saver, a fast play, or an offload. Need to build on our consolidation. Injuries hack away at it too much already. And enough of our future is based on faith in potential.
