Thomas Talau

Talau defence in the second half on the fero try at start of second half was shocking just like his intercept play last week he has to go

Moses back to centre next week and Simpkins to take the backup 9 role.

I think that Tuki Simpkins is way too big for the number 9.

I think you're confused with Tuki Simpkin:laughing:

He is part of a group in the team that while I think they have a high degree of skills and talent, have minimal levels of application and effort. Kepoa is another and the 2 of them together is a recipe for disaster.

I think you’ve quoted the wrong bloke

Jesus some of are fans have the shortest Memory! The kid is 20, played less than 20 games in 3 different positions.he has one of the best try scoring rates in the team. Averaged 4th in Meters per game last year for us. Played the first game of the bench this year then the next inside nofa and the last 2 on the oppsixs edge inside AJ. Let him play in a position consistently and I think we will see him at his best. He’s a genuine tackle breaker, unfortunately our attack is a bit clunky and hasn’t given our edges early ball. Let’s not forget the storm wanted him before and after they asked for nofa. They had Momo in there squad and they still requested Tommy.
This week he’s playing wing! I garuntee you he makes 100+ meters and runs hard. I’m putting him down for a try this week!

It’s sickening we let momo and JAC go for this bloke. Once again the club all in on the wrong bloke.

As much as I think AJ/TT are struggling. Don’t know how much better BJ would be...yeah he has dominated in cup but how much better can an old lazy pea heart be. The guy didn’t even seem to care about being demoted. Would maybe look at Hoffman by years end or Kei if he can stay injury free. Cooper, Cini, Fitzgibbon other options but think they would struggle with the leap.

Cooper has some class, Cini and Fitz do not .

Cini is doing well in state cup. Must be close to a call up. He is an interesting player, not particularly fast but seems allusive and strong. Can’t see him offering any less than Talau or Kepao are at the moment.

You're right. Difficult to tackle. Reminds me of a young Dugan, back when he could play and didn't get injured in every tackle

Sorry , but can't agree.. I was pumping for Cini previously but after watching the game i think he offers nothing. Cooper looked good ,Fitzy s fast in the legs but nowhere else.

I watched JAC on vossey show last night said as a kid in situations where you make a wish as a kid he’d wish to play for the wests tigers. I can’t make any positive comments that front office could not get that done!

We desperately need another quality winger.

Lol he ran close to 200m he’s on fire lately. I’d be inclined to start playing on the wing in reserves in preparation.

Out of the youngsters he is probably the one I have been most disappointed with. He doesn’t want to play wing but can’t be a centre if he doesn’t know how to pass to his winger. I’d say he has to have a stint and as risky as it is being BJ back.

💯 another Esan botched forward trying to be a back

Did you miss the part where he said he'd already signed for Storm and then Jason Taylor handed him his debut anyway?

The whole thing about JAC we just have to bury is he signed for Storm before he even put his first grade jersey on for Tigers, and the only reason that happened is because Storm were desperate for a fast winger when Koroibete left for Union.

Tigers were negotiating with JAC but he'd literally only been at the club 1 offseason and a few matches before he went somewhere else.

re Talau though, JAC has nothing to do with it. JAC signed for Storm in 2016 (starting 2017), Talau didn't sign for Tigers until 2018 (starting 2019).

At least we gave him a start and realised his worth. The Sharks saw no value in him at all.
