Thurston curse

It's better than that, Thurston has never won against Wests Tigers in Sydney, over his career of 16 years (since 2003 with Bulldogs), and out of 12 games played.

One guess which game in 2005 was my favourite.

50-6 at ANZ Finals Week 1?

Certainly up there. With "that" try in the GF, Thurston actually left the gap for Benji to go through, Thurston kicked it downfield and was hammered (hopefully legally), and didn't make the defensive line until a second or two late hence the gap.

Thanks JT, another great JT Tigers memory.

Don't all of you guys jinx us now.

I don't believe in jinxes, but WT themselves put out a press release about Thurston not being able to win in Syd versus WT. It's probably part of the marketing to max out the crowd @ LO, however I prefer not to provoke the opposition where possible.

Yeah, was thinking the same when I opened my members email and saw this…wouldve preferred it was kept quiet, dont need them sticking any printouts on the shed walls

Do the cowboys typically win indigenous round? Would imagine they have more indigenous players then we do and may mean more…

Here's a technical question I don't know the answer to: does the indigenous round only apply to indigenous Australians, or all the indigenous persons of the Pacific region?

I don't see why we can't celebrate Aboriginal players as well as Maoris, Tongans, Samoans etc.

I do like the way he gives away headgear each game to fans, and the way he hands to footy kicking tee to the ball bay.
Just small things that can make a big difference to footy fans.

I don't think we've had that many indigenous players in the past compared to other clubs… Might be wrong

Not many. Daine Laurie, the McGuiness bros and Owen Craigie. Wouldn't be many more.

He is a pretty slight fellow.
they must have cemented his shoulders to the rest of his body.
the punishment his body has taken over the years must be telling.
