Tigers angry none of their players were picked for Origin

Well remember our form players in 05 Halatau, Whatuira and Benji were NZers . Hodgson must of been desperately unlucky to miss 05 Kangaroos he did get picked for origin but I don't think anyone was going to forgive him for that pass ….. Prince was taken and Skando and Payten were desperately unlucky also Richards may have been unavailable due to having played for Ireland and would probably failed the fitness test . No one else deserved a look in honestly at that stage

Also we should take into account that had he been fit Chris Lawrence would efinatly have been left centre flor NSW and Lote probably would have played for QLD

Yes, the players should be angry. They should be angry at themselves! Far too inconsistent to demand selection…

We may be inconsistent but we're ahead of what 8 teams who did get players selected including some who have won twice all year. I don't buy that as an excuse at all. Inconsistent is better than consistent rubbish. Besides every statistic shows that Robbie Farah out performed Michael Ennis over the first 10 rounds and according to nrl.com, Ennis hasn't made a single linebreak all year. Yep, our first choice hooker, the man "built for state of origin" hasn't managed to crack the line once in 9 games for the Dogs.

The fact of the matter is that Farah is carrying an injury and is not playing anywhere near his best. Now that he has not been selected, he should get take time out to get back to full fitness. Perhaps even take the surgery option.

The problem is we really dont have a suitable option to replace Robbie… Polotini is getting better, but possibly hasnt done enough to be seen as number 2 option. I've never been a fan of Nadira?!

If I was the Tigers, I feel we should make a play for DeGois and make him that "utility" for the bench spot from 2012 on... Robbie is getting on in years and a 15-20 min break in games could be the spark we are looking for???

Been watching Patty Politoni all year…. He is a GUN!!
Love his work in D and he is always opening them up... I'd unreservedly say he is just as ready as Miller was.
I think he should be on the Bench now. We ARE NOT getting full effect out of Farah over 80mins.
especially if he is Running at 70%.
I'm suprised the 20's are where they are on the Ladder...
With Pat, Siro, Beggy, MG, Jake the RHS Centre (His name escapes me ATM) And Now Koribete (He had a CRACKER on Sat!!, Apart from a spilled bomb that led to a try..) But he was up there and was Unlucky not to claim it!!
Wests Tigers future is looking Really, Really Good!!

Getting on in years??? hes 27!!! he should be able to play the full 80 no worries for the next two/three years he is fit.

what age did buderus stop playing80 mins? cam smith is he still playing 80 or does henchcliffe come on for him? cam smith is a year or too older isnt he.

well he only played for 35 minutes last week!!!

He was an 80min Hooker last year and we didnt win anything???

We need to change and try new things if we are any chance of winning a premiership!!!

TOTALLY agree with alexaki & Yossarian, I don't believe it has anything to do with our form or consistency or any other crap words people want to use to bag our players. Regardless of how we played in Rd.10, it has nothing to do with it. Yes we can be inconsistent as a team(nothing new there) BUT on the other hand we are brilliant & WE ARE THE BEST TEAM TO WATCH. 2010 we had a great year, which earn't the TIGERS alot more respect, esp. when the media talks about us now. So no i don't believe it has to do with our 2011 form, we are no.8(yes,luckily), we may have only won 1 more game than the lower teams but we have atleast 40 POINTS on them. Come on guys don't buy into the hype & bag our boys, i'm sure they are down on themselves enough. The only way Robbie will get in is if he plays like a GRUB, & he's got too much talent & class for that. The Forward pack that Stuart picked is EXACTLY THE SAME AS 2010 Origin 3, except Beau Scott is in the back row instead of Lewis, so obviously Stuart was happy with the 3rd game & we ALL remember ENNIS & his brain explosion that lost the Blues the chance for a win!! TIGERS 4 LIFE. (Yes with all my rambling I don't actually have an exact theory). I do feel it's personal to the Tigers, maybe it's cause they don't consider our Forwards as HARD, ROUGH & TOUGH. See you all at Campbelltown Sat.

Well duh! The Souths performance was a prime example why no Tigers players were selected…When you're that inconsistent at club level, why would you be picked to represent your state??? The coach wouldn't know what sort of performance he's going to get out of a Tigers player.

Using that logic only players from the top 3 teams should be involved - why do teams who are performing as poorly and inconsistently as us get players in - some of whom shouldn't be there - the real reason is we are still seen as soft - not " built for origin" - too flashy and little substance.

What a crock!

The NSW captain is from Cronulla for christs sake. That says it all right there.

Willow is spot on SunTan.
Forget about the tigers team being inconsistent but this year Farah & Galloway have been inconsistent probably because of minor injuries that both are/were carrying.
Farah & Galloway are far superior players to Ennis & King but im not at all suprised they missed out

And Gallen is a the best forward this generation. He would be welcomed in any side & probably be the best captain in any side

Yea right - King has been pretty consistent - consistently on the sideline injured

i reckon the souths game was dead and buried before kickoff.

any of our players that 'may have' been in contention got word from ricky they werent in the nsw team and that was it, wheels fell off for the souths game.

How consistent have Canberra been? Or Parra, Penrith or the Roosters?? Consistency of the team has nothing to do with it, we have been falling for that for years. The process of selection is corrupt and the men holding the reigns are egocentric fools.

Exactly! This 'Wests Tigers are too inconsistent, so we can't pick any of them for Origin' reason is a load of rubbish. Penrith have been up and down like a yo yo this year, but they have a player in. So too, Cronulla, yet they have 2 players in (3 players last year when they were running last). Parramatta and Canberra have been abysmal, but they each have a player chosen, and one of them (Dugan) is in very average form, yet is filling a key position.

As someone else mentioned earlier, it's not just this year. We have struggled to get players in Origin for many years now. The only ones in recent memory have been Hodgo, who was just too good to ignore and Farah, chosen because of public pressure at the time. As soon as Farah made one little slip up though, he was gone, never to return again by the look of it. Others have slipped up more, yet manage to retain their positions.

It's highly obvious that the selectors do not like our team - the reason/s why is anyone's guess. I have no idea. Souths have a similar problem with rep selectors as well. If it weren't for Taylor being named as 18th man today, they also would have no reps in Origin for the second year running. Both teams have had (now and in the past) at least a couple of players that could be considered good enough for a crack at Origin, but the reasons given by the selectors for their non-selection are complete BS when you look at some of the players that they end up picking from worse-performing teams. Their reasoning is completely flawed in light of this, so what else could it be but dislike?

Highly doubt both of those, particularly Lote.

Id love to see a coach and group of selectors that are objective about things. Presently, NSW league is controlled by stuart and his mates- johns, Fittler, Daley et al. These guys are all heavily influenced by Sterlo, Gould, (who decided Dean Young deserved a shot), Bellamy and Bennett, who all have their own agendas. Thus, we see their mates, club links or the players they have decided are "origin style" (Ennis) getting a run. Likewise, Bob Fulton, who hasn't got a clue, is influenced by his manly and media mates. The whole system is tainted by agendas and alliances. It worked in our favor when Lote, Rowdy and Farah were picked for the Roos last year- but Tigers have no pull with NSW selection. I'd like to see someone like Daniel Anderson, who appears pretty friendless, get a gig with the blues.

Good points russell not 100% sure about anderson but the rest of your points are spot on IMO.

Phil Gould having a beer watching a manly game with Andrew John's, who says "Gus, I bet you $50 you can't get Jason King picked for State of Origin". The rest is history.
