Both have good motors, but are not Props at NRL Level.

I see them both as Backrowers at this level.

Neither in my opinion are quick enough to play back row or could cope laterally at NRL level in the back row

Stand back everyone 2 QLD's are about to get their pillows out…

So much for Griffen and McConnachie tearing up QLD Cup...if the best of them can't make it ...well

Griffin looked quick scooting around the fullback in the footage.

However I can't get excited about signing a 28 year old who still hasn't played NRL. Will be surprised if he secures a top 17 spot.

Sorry Sirro they are the club I support in the Intrust so although I don't catch every game

Griffin is close to if not my favourite player along with Carlin Anderson (fullback) , I just can't see him maintaining that speed if you want him to play 80 and he would get killed laterally

Boys must have kept this pretty quiet or a certain assistant coach is gonna get a dirty message :imp:

One certainty is that Billy McConachie is a machine. Where did this bloke come from?

Fair to say Billy read the Ipswich Jets would beat us thread and decided to sign with us because of my compliment.

Happy I'd have thought you'd be happier.

Mate I'm realistic about these things , but if they grabbed Carlin Anderson I'd be excited

Good depth signings who both look likely backrow/lock options. A full pre-season with the top squad will really benefit them too as Ipswich were only training 2-3 days a week according to some of the GF commentary I heard.

Griffin will be able to handle prop I reckon , just not a backrower

McConnachie is similar to Fulton , maybe a touch bigger

Or does he play for Easts? I can't remember. I saw a Seve running around in BRL and he looked good.

I dont think so… Maeli is from Melbourne and came to us through the Storm system.

Along with Seve we have 3 Ipswich boys

The more the merrier hey Watto ??

They will fit in down Campbelltown way… Time to zip tie your hubcaps again?!

On a brighter note, and you can add Ballin to the equation, Wests Tigers have only played Finals Footy with Queenslander in the team... Guaranteed Top 8 in 2016 now!

Wasn't he at Norths ??

Norths haven't listed their squad on their web page , but I was sure there is a back rower with Seve as a surname

Ballin is only gossip and he is the 6th best hooker from Qld …......

I think every club needs these type of signings. Some payoff some don't but there could be a diamond in the rough.

My main comment though is why members don't get an "exclusive" email on this stuff. I shouldn't have to stumble upon it here.

Happy with the signings, will add good depth to the club. I was impressed by these two when i watched the GF. Once again i think the club is heading in the right direction!

Last year we were competitive when we had our best 17 running around for 80 minutes, but as soon as we suffered a injury we were stuffed, some of the players we used were struggling at state cup level, so at NRL level they were found to be way off the pace. Taylor has recruited well with the limited dollars at his disposal. We now should have players capable of stepping up a grade and applying pressure to the players in the top grade.

Pauline Hanson is still #1 in Queenslanders' eyes right?

If we were smart and punted JT for the Walker Brothers as coach we have two players that suit their system down to the ground. Would still be cheaper to punt JT (who has the full support of the board, famous last words), hire the Walker Brothers (who have modern game plans and actually would make watching football fun again) than to pay a lot of money for Robbie to play elsewhere (think he would like the style of footy the Walker Brothers play).

Said if before punting JT for the Walker Brothers is win win for the club in my view.
