Tigers board cools on Benji's contract talks

I agree for the club that would be the best outcome. Would be very unlikely. If a new stadium is built it is all about the number of tenants that would play there. Whilst we would play at Campbelltown would any other NRL side play home games there?

Yes. Canterbury and Souths would split their home games between Homebush and Campbelltown. The Macarthur area is a growing area full of citizens who have left the old traditional areas of Sydney. The area has strong support for essentially all Sydney clubs.

Anyway, with a stadia policy, I would imagine it would work like this (assuming Campbelltown Stadium is upgraded):

Roosters: SFS
Souths: Homebush/Campbelltown
Penrith: Homebush/Penrith
Parramatta: Parramatta
St. George-Ill: SFS/Wollongong
Manly: SFS/Gosford
Wests: Campbelltown/SFS or Homebush
Canterbury: Homebush/Campbelltown
Cronulla: removed from competition or SFS/Shark Park

I'm pretty sure any new stadium WT's push for will be in Campbelltown

I agree for the club that would be the best outcome. Would be very unlikely. **If a new stadium is built it is all about the number of tenants that would play there. Whilst we would play at Campbelltown would any other NRL side play home games there?** I doubt it. Also don't know if the Wanders would move there full time and to be honest any new stadium will include them as one of the main tenants. On there forums they really want to stay at Parramatta as it is about the same distant (about 30 minutes travel) from their supporters based in the Northwest Park region, Penrith area and Liverpool/Fairfield region. Parramatta Stadium would get re-developed over Campbelltown in my opinion. I for one would hate to play home games at Parramatta again and the club should tell the NRL/NSW Government that we wont no part of playing home games at Parramatta.

A new stadium at Liverpool would be the best outcome we could get as a club. It is far closer to our Campbelltown base than any of the other serious options in Blacktown, Parramatta and Penrith.

As far as Benji goes he should not get any extension to his contract to his form improves significantly over an extended period of time. Fine if his deal says we will upgrade his money because of the increased cap we should honour that but only for the years he has left. We should be in no rush to extend his deal. I think next year he wont be at the Tigers. They way he has played this year and most of last year he will be no great loss.

Canterbury and the Roosters have made no secret of the fact they'd like a piece of Campbelltown. The Roosters have even had a club in the works at Narellan for a number of yrs. So theres no doubt in my mind other NRL teams would want to play games out of there, especially if its re-developed, of course they would. Other teams realize how much of a goldmine the place is, its about time our club and some of its supporters started realizing as well

In regards to Benji, i'm really getting jack hearing about it. He still has 2 and a half yrs to run on his current contract for gods sake, why not just forget about it and focus on regaining some form and the next contract will sort itself out. He was even going on about it before the club tied Farah up. How self absorbed can you be.

x 2 Snake Fans are going to have to be prepared to travel and I expect to see double headers for local Sydney games to save money also
