Wrong. Mbye was Madge, Packer and Reynolds was Cleary and you might have noticed he Reynolds didnt play this year you half wit. Sorry quarter wit.

M'Bye was Clearys signing,Madge only inherited the overpaid anchor

Really then why did he give him the captaincy last year. Just shows How disconnected Madge is to select Moses to lead us from the front..end of story

In defence of that decision, when Madge walked out in the Storm game, Mbye was the main one to try and rally the side, was very cringy but he tried.

‘Putrid’ Tigers exposed for ‘Mickey Mouse review’ that won’t target ‘problem’ people

The Wests Tigers have been taken to task for launching a “Mickey Mouse review” that will be run by the very people it should almost certainly be investigating.

Immediately following a disastrous 38-0 loss at the hands of bottom-placed Canterbury on Sunday, the Concord powerbrokers set about trying to figure out how the season went from bad to worse for a team that hasn’t played finals in a decade.

His future as coach is in serous jeopardy following the debacle that was 2021.

Paul Kent, though, believes the fault lies with the men on the field, not the one holding the clipboard.

“It lifted the lid on the character of the Wests Tigers,” Kent said.

“And it showed what Michael Maguire has been battling all season, which is they are, as a collective, weak.

“They haven’t got the character to get in the fight and stay in the fight. The fact they quit so easily yesterday in that game... as a group they turned it up, 38-0 against the worst team in the competition... if they have any semblance of professional pride they put in a performance yesterday, and they didn’t turn up.”

A review has been launched by the Tigers board to get to the bottom of the horror campaign.

But, bizarrely, the review will be run by club chief executive Justin Pascoe and his football manager Adam Hartigan.

“Why have a review done by people who should be being reviewed?” Phil Rothfield said.

“They need an independent mob in there to do this review.”

Kent revealed the Tigers board will enlist the help of former coach Tim Sheens, who will return to Concord once he can fly into Australia from England.

“The ace up the sleeve of the Tigers is Tim Sheens,” Kent said.

“The board will be putting it to Justin Pascoe and Adam Hartigan to go and come back with some answers they want asked. It’s not about pathways or anything like that, it’s all about the performance of the NRL team.

“They want answers and they want them back from Pascoe and Hartigan. But I ask the question, what if they’re the problem? What is Pascoe and Hartigan are part of the problem? That (information) won’t come back.

“The board will sit down with the answers to those questions, Tim Sheens will be part of that review as well.”

Hooper slammed the Tigers board for handing the review duties to the two men who should be included in the investigations.

He also revealed Hartigan and coach Maguire recently had a stink while in camp in Queensland.

“It’s a Mickey Mouse review when you’ve got the CEO who’s under enormous pressure, and a general manager of football who’s in the same boat, who’s had a big stink with Maguire up in Brisbane,” Hooper said.

“Inside the bubble they’ve had a bust-up, they’ve obviously tried to smoke the peace pipe and bring it back on the same page.

“You can really see the self preservation and the desperation start to creep into things at the Tigers.”

Would love to see what the hartigan lovers on here have to say about all the flack he is copping. In particular @cochise with the greatest respect.

Also how has it taken an entire season of failure for pascoes name to finally be dragged through the mud.

The Hartigan flack is misdirected, they other areas of the football department are flying. It is the NRL squad that is struggling. Hartigan is setting us up for long term sustained success.

With all due respect mate , $10 million in wages go into the NRL team. You can’t disregard that when judging performance, all other areas of the football department are there to support success of that team. I don’t see how a few young players like Stef and Laurie can paper over the cracks. That game yesterday was laughable .

Of course it was, I just place the blame at a different pair of feet than you do.

Is he wearing the same shoes as Taylor and Potter? I have my doubts about Madge too, he looked like a dead man walking after the game. I feel he deserves a shot without Mbye, BJ, packer etc stinking up the joint.

I did for a long time too mate, I was back and forth for most of this season on whether to keep him, the younger players seem to like him. But a lack of progression in our development swayed me away from him.

I’m at a loss. He’s lost the group, but I really don’t like the group.

I agree with that, I think the group is better than he achieved as well, but the lack of fight in that group is disappointing.

You have said it on here, they don’t go looking for the collision. I’d be trying to move as many on as we can and just going after guys who enjoy the physicality of the game. At least fans would enjoy the effort.

I really want at least one high impact forward that wins the collision, it is so important in the game at the moment and is what determines the ruck speed.

We finished
2019 - 9th
2020 - 11th
2021 - 13th
If there isn’t change soon 15th or the wooden spoon is waiting for us

They seem to know what they’re looking for with the annual review. I wonder if it will uncover some “underlying issues” which James Tamou said need to be addressed before they could move forward?

It is that bad.
Broncos, Bulldogs, Warriors and Cowboys will be better next year based on recruitment and injured stars back, heck the Warriors will hopefully play at home for the 1st time in 2yrs & have their full squad available week to week.

We are a disaster.

Probably the same underlying issues Mick Potter said he could see the minute he walked into the joint. Culture.

Broncos, Bulldogs and Cowboys share a common problem with WT. All poorly run organisations urgently trying to solve problems created by bad choices.
WT started turning things around before them, so I can’t see us not being ahead of that game. It may not look like it after the Hiding we got from the Bulldogs.
Our future success is more dependent on the choices of our decision makers, whom ever they may be?
A typical organisation develops a proven formula for success, establishes systems and procedures to compliment and drive toward goals of various time horizons. Has motivated people, who are fully aware of their duties and responsibilities, the value of the part they play while being dedicated to achieving the organisation’s goals.
I’m totally convinced we are using a different approach where decisions are not born from collaboration and made by the person responsible, but come about as a result of infighting. The TPJ fiasco was a classic example.
As Lauren previously eluded to, their collective problem solving skills are not inspiring any confidence. One possible reason for this is could be the focus on who is wrong, not what is wrong? Playing the man, not the ball?

Can all the Baby wawa's just accept that Madge is gone and move on.
Or you can just sit here and cry.

Your decision.

Will you stop your wringing if he doesn't

I support the club, no matter what.
The speculation about anyone other than the coaching staff getting the chop is just silly.

The Chairman and major sponsor has said very clearly that all aspects of the club are in fine shape except for the on field performance.
People on here may not agree with him, but he's the boss apple sauce.

The only people in danger are the coaching staff.

That's the sad part

That's priority number 1

The Chairman needs to step up here and show some leadership .. seems to talk a lot about success well it is now time to put that into practice !

I think we have two different requirements here-
a/ immediate decision on NRL coach as we need to recruit new players, decide is tapped on shoulder, stabilise the NRL squad and set in place the structure we have so obviously lost. Also coaching assistant staff have to be sorted. This is urgent and needs immediate decision. Although unfair, it is the CEO and GM Football that can make that call of the NRL football department.

b/ A wider review of the CEO and GM Football to look at the overall operations of the club football wise, not just the business side. Junior pathways, our recruitment and retention, salary cal usage, information from (a) can feed in to (b) but this second thing would take a lot longer and surely the rationale for (a) must be obvious n terms of decision required.

If the Board is to also go for (b), and they should, it must take longer and be a separate, but linked, review. Maguire will probably be the first domino to fall along with his assistants. The deserved close look at the CEO, GM Football and wider WT operations should come in the off season.

They honestly believe the front office is sorted. They think because our financials are looking ok and the "holy grail" COE on the way, means their job is all sorted. Sorry, I don't cop that. The organisation stinks like a dirty ass and it begins with the executive management who appear to have overly inflated egos (Lee e.g.) and love a nice comfy leather chair in the boardroom.

The review is fluff. You hear this kind of jargon in the corporate world. Means little own club doing its own review.

You forgot(C) Remove the players that have destabilised the playing group and disrespected the supporter base and the jersey they wear! They need to be removed ..

It's nice we can now afford to employe people to actually to their job with pathways something they let go under pascoe watch

But we stand for absolutely nothing we need some passion back in the place. And they want to sack the only bloke that provides that in spades. Just sad

I don't derstand why it was so hard for Sheens to do the review via zoom?

We are in lockdown, everyone is used to using zoom now.

At least he would be somewhat independent, has the footy nous and gives him a clear idea of what's needed in his role.

Also - his flight has been delayed from arriving in July to now October.
