Sleepy, but I will feel rejuvinated after the sleep so bingo bango here we go

Look can't really comment on the WTs face book page but used to post on the official site before joining here

Knew that at least 60-70 % of posts wouldn't make the site as they were probably not what the WT's wanted to hear

That's fair enough as well , they have their own agendas and I had mine . So I stopped posting there

Pretty simple when you think about it

same reason i stopped.

dont like the filtering. all **opinions** should be accepted. not talking about swearing, bullying or starting rumours, that stuff fair enough should be removed for legal reasons. but yeah, they go over board, which is why im here.

Surprised that he replied like that. More surprised he would treat obviously passionate fans like that.

Didn't have an opinion of him before. I do now.

That FB page is utter dribble usually. Can not stand some of the stuff that is spoken on there. It's no wonder people have been banned on there. Some of the stuff that has appeared on my timeline is borderline offensive and you cannot blame the club for banning people. The page is viewed by children….end of story! As for Mayer. His reputation professionally is impressive and my dealings with him have been nothing less than what was expected. Emails however with ANY CEO/COO can be a little like this. I can remember emailing Noyce, Humphreys and getting a token not so helpful response sometimes but face to face it was tenfold better. I think these guys probably feel the need to reply but don't always have time to do so properly, hence the token response.

Until 2 weeks ago, wasn't Mayer the Head of Marketing?

I'm a fan of the club using social media to reach its supporter base, but don't feel they should be attempting to engage fans on a personal one-on-one basis through open forums like this site or FB. 99% of the content is opinions that are rarely based on all the factors involved on the subject.

In my organisation, our company policy is to delete any negative comments on our FB pages as it isn't what we operate FB for. We will send the ID a message to advise them to send all complaints via an email address, prior to deleting the comment… Not surprisingly, very few send an email from there personal ID?!

I have been gold member (paying for myself and at least one other person, sometimes two) since, I think, 2004.

I recently sent an email request for a donation of a prize to be auctioned from WT for a fundraising event my organisation was having. It could have been anything from a cap up to what ever they felt appropriate.

I explained that both the Bulldogs and Dragons had donated prizes through colleagues with contacts at those clubs. In my email I acknowledged WT must receive lots of such requests. It was sent 5 weeks before the event and I also acknowledged that I became aware that they had a policy of a 6-week timeframe before any event for requests to be considered.

Apart from an automated response saying my email had been received and I would be advised about the outcome, I never heard from them again!!

The event was held last Friday night and it was a great night had by all. To say I am disappointed that my club didn't even have the manners to inform me they couldn't or wouldn't be providing a prize is disappointing….and that's being polite!

If I ran the organisation I lead with such poor regard for others, I would be hounded out of the joint. And, rightly so.

In 2005 I spoke to Steve Roach at a Wests Tigers function. Earlier this year I spoke to him again. I couldn't believe he couldn't remember my name. How unprofessional of the club to employ someone who treats it's supporters with such little regard. I bet you if I was a Balmain supporter and not a Magpie I would have been treated differently too!!!

Fair dinkum fellas, your petty gripes are grinding my sensibilities, like sandpaper toilet paper on a cold winters day.

He only reacted on twitter because I was currently engaged in a dialogue with him about coming on the forum to make a contribution. He clearly did and found this thread and tweeted at me his stance on the matter. His honesty in sharing his opinion is pretty unique and refreshing from where I sit. Who knows what the OP said to him in emails to inspire the "have an agenda" accusations and frankly I don't want to know. He's offering to do us a pretty awesome service by conducting an on forum Q&A. How cool is that?

i would like to bet u a $5 lottery ticket that u never hear from him again.
also i have had many posts on the tiger web page deleted because of what i wanted to say was not what they wanted to hear, but in saying that i was reading what fans had put on there for this weeks team and a lot of there comments were critizeing potters team, so maybe things may have changed.they even let comments about how could he pick benji and pettybourne after last weeks efforts.

Luckily I don't really know how to use Facebook I've checked out the wt FB page and didn't know what to do with it,but after the rubbish performances this year had I been able to post my opinion no doubt I'd be banned.
Which to me probably doesn't mean much.

My three cents…
I emailed the club to congratulate them on the great new website and social media and got nothing in return.. Not expecting cartwheels but a response would have been nice.
