Tigers dump Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington to the sharks

I didn't know but he was named in the Kangaroos train on squad. Deadset, this club is becoming an absolute disgrace. He was EASILY our most improved player this year.
 
Makes no sense to me, Ryan has had his best year by far.

I hope we are freeing up space to make some quality signings. Namely a prop and a halfback!
 
Very very sad to see him go as he loves the tigers and has a lot of talent. However with Koroibete, Nofoaluma young stars on the wing and back up of Utai, Reddy, Simona then we can porbably cover it. Also I think we will see us chase for a centre partner for Larence with Ayshford being on the bench or nsw cup

I think we will also sign Kite and Masoe Masoe to give us more grunt up front. Other then that I think we need a class centre and that is what we are making room for
 
The stupidity of this whole thing is that we didn't lose him because we were outbid. We chose to cut his contract short.

That's what we did last year. Release quality, loyal players who were in career best form to sign a big marquee player. Boy, that turned out well!

Hate to say I told ya's so but…..... ah who am i kidding, next time you hear a player mention a new contract on the footy show, it might pay to wait for something official from the club before whooing and hee haaring and shooting down others who say that there never has been an official word from the club :wink:

Disgraceful decision though, this club is a laughing stock. So much for people on here last yr pumping humpty's tyres claiming he was one of the smartest operators in the business. Ronald McDonald would do a better job then this joker

Two guys who gave there all each week(ryan and heighno) and who were the most consistent every week in a team who smacks of inconsistency are moved on.Carrying on from last year with giving Gibbs the boot,who was our most consistent last year I really fear that next year we will take inconsistency to the highest level ever seen from a sports team.Ever.Ok so you get rid of heighno to free up cash fine.You replace him with Pettybourne or Bodene thompson.Pffft.If tuqiri stays next year at the expense of ryan they are joking.
 
Cronulla has denied reports it has signed Wests Tigers star Beau Ryan to a 3-year-deal.

We spoke to the Cronulla camp who said they're definitely showing some interest but it's only early days.

If he was to sign he'd join his ex-Tigers teammates Bryce Gibbs and Andrew Fifita who signed with Cronulla at the beginning of the year.

Be interesting to see the marshall / ryan factor on the footy show. I think we will hear all about the infighting now as ryan is in the media and will be of interest to people outside of the tigers fans.
 
I have had a bad feeling all weekend about this…You dont get rid of blokes who are prepared to die for the team - it is utter lunacy. Feel sorry for Beau and his mates he is leaving. He was a proud Wests Tiger and didnt deserve to be treated like this again. He had a scare last year and responded not by bagging anyone at HQ but by playing this season at a standard that has seen him earn a Prime Ministers 13 jumper. He is a winger who won us games this year and last not by being the biggest or the fastest, but by being skillful, resoureceful and determined. Damn shame to see him leave.

One senses there is far more going on behind the scenes than we have even gotten close to discussing on here. This could be our most explosive off season to date.

Would I loose Noafo, Marika or Meaney for him.... HELL NO!!
