Tigers dump Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington to the sharks

More so than what this means for the club, i feel so sorry for Beau. He had his best year yet. He actually had accolades coming for his good football this season and the club rewarded him with a 3 year deal only for this to happen before it was ratified.

To be honest, i'm gobsmacked at this stance by the club. Beau's image is a driving force for WT's, he brings dollars in because of his profile. And let's not forget he's not too bad a winger or fullback. Doesn't make a lot of sense to let him go?

The other thing that is annoying me about this is that it probably means Sheens is still around next year. If the board and club management were thinking of replacing Sheens, why would they be making so many changes to the team's roster when it's ultimately the coach's choice who makes up the team.

First gibbs, now beau.. Anyone that is a bit of a character seems to get pushed out.

Sharks have denied signing Beau. But where there is smoke there is fire. Beau is a good marketing tool, he's also not that bad on field. I would be gutted if he does go. Starting to lose faith in this club

Abit disappointed actually I think that they are getting rid of the wrong guy . Not happy at all

Remember No 1 Player is Bigger than the club, we are starting to see clean out we have asked for

So we start with our best backline player of 2012?

A cleanout usually picks off the deadwood doesn't it?

Yes, we need a clean out, but removing the deadwood, not one of the brightest players in the team!

Cronulla are denying it … Rothfields gone to e-press with it ... I'm wondering whether our lock forward has been getting up to no good ... Possibly in cahoots with the Bundeena bovver boy ... Hope so cos I'd hate to lose Beau

Clutching at straws ... But here's hoping

Tell us it's one of your pranks Liam ... PLEASE

Let's get the facts of this right. Beau's form was rewarded with a new three year deal, which he had agreed to but not yet signed. That offer was never taken off the table. Beau decided he had a better offer from Cronulla and took it.

Nobody on here knows the inner workings of this and I think it's completely unhelpful to simply spout stuff that you've 'heard'. If he has agreed to terms with Cronulla Beau has turned his back on the club, no the other way around.

Everyone is disappointed that he is leaving, but get your facts right, we did not tell him to leave, he knocked back a new deal from the club.

So how do you know your so called facts?

Or is it "do as I say not as I do"?

Everyone wanted a cleanout and now we have a cleanout - Beau is a player who would be on decent money and as a winger perhaps we thought that we could better spend that money in a position where we have Koroibete, Nofoaluma, Utai (all 3 of which would probably add up to less then beau will be on) and also Reddy, Simona, Ayshford who can all play wing and Hytchox, Grant in NSW Cup.

Also whether this is good or bad news depends on where that money gets spent - If we sign 2 new prop forwards in Kite and Mose Masoe as well as another outside back just by letting go of Beau and Hieghno (who I think we all agree isnt worth 3 yrs)

I'll be polite coz u have no idea. THEY TOLD HIM TO LOOK ELSEWHERE JUST LIKE THEY DID LAST YEAR. he got jack of being used and left. Which is what the club wanted. That's what the guy WHO IS A LEADING CLUB SPONSOR told me this morning.

His lack of speed is the biggest myth and I don't know how people came up with it in the first place

What everyone is saying is that there's plenty of other players on good coin who's form have not warranted extended contracts.

Plus, the extra value that Beau brings to the business through added PR far outweighs any other player in the club. He is not only a useful player to the footy team, he is a valuable asset to the business.
