Tigers dump Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington to the sharks

The Tigers posted a photo today of Lote with the guy in charge of writing up contracts at the club

Beau is one player i never thought would be forced out. He has so much passion for this club, It's hard to imagine him playing for someone else.

At best a standard first grade winger. He will be more of a loss off the field than on it

It is a shoddy way to do things , whichever way you look at it .
How can we continue to tell players we want them , for 3 , not 1 years , and then change our minds- or conversely tell them we don't want them and then go ahead and re-sign them?
Something is rotten and I think we haven't heard the end of it yet.

Everyone wanted a cleanout and now we have a cleanout - Beau is a player who would be on decent money and as a winger perhaps we thought that we could better spend that money in a position where we have Koroibete, Nofoaluma, Utai (all 3 of which would probably add up to less then beau will be on) and also Reddy, Simona, Ayshford who can all play wing and Hytchox, Grant in NSW Cup.

Also whether this is good or bad news depends on where that money gets spent - If we sign 2 new prop forwards in Kite and Mose Masoe as well as another outside back just by letting go of Beau and Hieghno (who I think we all agree isnt worth 3 yrs)

thats not what we were talking about when saying we want a cleanout. Why get rid of a pleayer who adds value to the club compared to the other obsolete players. Beau Ryan of all players to release at the beginning of this 'clean up' aswell.

What everyone is saying is that there's plenty of other players on good coin who's form have not warranted extended contracts.

Plus, the extra value that Beau brings to the business through added PR far outweighs any other player in the club. He is not only a useful player to the footy team, he is a valuable asset to the business.

But we don't have the depth in other positions like we do on the wing, Koro, Utai are both better than Beau and Nofo definatly looks like a better prospect. Its comparing apples and oranges saying theres other players who deserve to go before Beau, as while its probably true to an extent, its an unrealistic proposition when we don't have the same depth in those positions.

Cronulla has denied reports it has signed Wests Tigers star Beau Ryan to a 3-year-deal.

Triple M spoke to the Cronulla camp who said they're definitely showing some interest but it's only early days.

"He hasn't agreed to terms. He hasn't signed a contract," a Sharks spokesperson told Triple M.

If he was to sign he'd join his ex-Tigers teammates Bryce Gibbs and Andrew Fifita who signed with Cronulla at the beginning of the year.

Tune in to tonight's Triple M's Nightly Sports Show, The Rush Hour from 6pm for more details.

I've supported the Tigers all my life.

I am shell shocked…................

Poor football decision, poor business decision, poor team morale decision, poor club decision.....

I've said it many times and regretted it 5 minutes later about seriously thinking about moving on from the club I love. If this happens, I will be giving it more than 5 minutes of thought......

Let's get the facts of this right. Beau's form was rewarded with a new three year deal, which he had agreed to but not yet signed. That offer was never taken off the table. Beau decided he had a better offer from Cronulla and took it.

**Nobody on here knows the inner workings of this and I think it's completely unhelpful to simply spout stuff that you've 'heard'.** If he has agreed to terms with Cronulla Beau has turned his back on the club, no the other way around.

**Everyone is disappointed that he is leaving, but get your facts right, we did not tell him to leave, he knocked back a new deal from the club.**

So how do you know your so called facts?

Or is it "do as I say not as I do"?

It's been widely acknowledged he agreed to a new deal, so obviously the club wasn't shopping him around. That is fact which has been confirmed by Ryan himself and the club. That is the only fact I stated there, I'm not saying I know everything, but that is something I do know as FACT.

And I can assure you that some **** at the Wests Tigers will pay for making my 9yo daughter sit here in the lounge room and cry because of this…...... It goes beyond footy.......

Saying Utai is better is a big call.

Nofo is untested in first grade. While I'm a huge fan of his, we don't yet know whether he can handle first grade.

We actually have quite a lot of depth at fullback (Beau*, Tedesco, Simona, Meaney, Humble*, even Rowe wouldn't look out of place) and in the halves (Benji, Siro, Anasta, Humble*, Miller*), yet Moltzen earns another three year contract :crazy . We're actually struggling for quality depth in the outside backs. Utai, Ayshford, Lawrence and Ryan are probably the starting 4, then Koro and Simona would be next in line in terms of depth, but other than that, you look at BRET and the U20s and there's not much experience

UI wonder if Humpdys had his fingers crossed behind his back today….Sharks CEO better go over everything with a fine tooth comb and microscope

Write him an email…...tell him to stick his memberships

You watch Beau kill it next year - just like Bryce & Fafita.....someone with that much passion has a heap of unearthed talent just waiting to bloom, Sheens couldnt find any more with the other two, but Flanagan could, he will again

Heighno too

They are paying for Sheens' inadequacies & shortcomings....dont you people see this?

I feel sorry for youre daughter lets be honest beau isnt the most talented footballer but his very solid gives 100% & plays with heart im shocked still hope this is bs? if Sheens isnt going and beau is gone hope they go with youth e.g. nofo koro grant e.t.c.
