With talk of playing at one home ground in the next year or two what home ground would you choose ?

Id go ANZ stadium, we seem to be getting bigger crowds there. Atmosphere not the best , but seating, getting in and out 10/10\. Anz would be my vote.

Last game against Penrith there was about 10k. No different than the 2 suburban grounds.

The other games at Anz stadium this year:

Tigers vs Eels = 36k
Tigers vs Bulldogs= 21k
Tigers vs Rabbitohs= 15k

No different to a suburban ground?? Your kidding yourself arent you. The fans are speaking with their feet, we make more money, and the corporates love it there. Its a no brainer.

If you read my last post you'll notice I agree with you

Not Being from the C'Town or Balmain areas I don't have that connection with either of the stadiums.

I find them both dilapidated and grimy in honesty.

I like Homebush purely for convenience as it is relatively central, Easy in and out and the parking in A1 is great when you have 5 kids like me.

If the money is there at Homebush I would keep the bulk of our games there.

You have 5 kids :astonished: wow how is that working for you it must be so stressful at times

Question between the three grounds which is better for food for the kids

As Geo said, the one that pays the most. Otherwise we don't have a hope of competing.

I would like to see an annual heritage game or two at LO however. Love the place but understand the business decision to go to ANZ

I could live with a fulltime move to ANZ, but enjoy the current arrangement.

Against a fulltim move to Ctown.

I like what the bulldogs do with belmore. I think they play one or 2 games a year there. Id go 1 game at Leichardt, 1 at Campbelltown, and the rest at ANZ.

With ANZ to be renovated bit by bit in the next few years I wonder how that will impact the atmosphere. It's likely they'll close down one side/end of the stadium at a time meaning all spectators will be squashed onto the same side of the ground. This will make it look better on tv, and for people in the crowd it means there'll be others sitting next to you and not just half a row of empty seats.

However it means there would be no-one opposite you which has an impact on the way sound bounces around the stadium. And that you'll be facing a construction site.

We won't play at Allianz again, and there just isn't the funding for the suburban grounds in the future. ANZ is in a central location so it's the easiest all around solution, but yeah i don't like going down the AFL route of having teams all playing in the same stadiums.

So is Homebush offering us the opportunity to play more home games there? Because i was under the impression they only wanted us to play certain games there in order to maximise stadium revenue.

But if things have changed, then its Homebush by a country mile, if only by virtue of the fact that they pay us good $$$ to play there. Its also a stones throw from our HQ at Concord.

I know its not the greatest place to watch footy from these days, but after they reconfigure it and bring the crowd closer to the action, it may be a different story.

Just curious, but what do you find dilapidated and grimy about CSS ?
I go to all 3, but don't find CSS that bad !

Campbelltown but could do with an upgrade so considering ANZ pays the club to play there and facilities are great I'd settle for ANZ in the short term then see what it's redevelopment is like.

It will be 4 x 4 x 4 for 2017….they are making a year by year decision

The interest for mine will be 2019 when ANZ is remodelled...Everyone will be out for a time...

I asked Shaun Spence how long he thought the club would persist with the 3 home grounds earlier in the yr. He thought at least another 3 yrs.

A bit hard comparing crowds with stadiums as we play most games against well supported sydney teams at ANZ, eg rabbits, parra, dugs! And out if towners like Melbourne, cowgirls at CS and LO!!! As part of the contract with ANZ, they probably won't pay much 4 the other games?!?!
So crap comparison really….

+ my vote is to keep it like it is!
As I hate ANZ prefer SFS but, 2 at LO and 2 at CS would be a fairer compromise. As a time we start selling out LO & CS for games against storm them we can look at changing to ANZ more often….
But depending on how good they fix that lemon ANZ. It may change things up!!!

ANZ. When the renovations are done it will easily be the best ground in Sydney. We should drop anchor now. I'd go 8/2/2 for next year.

The plans for the redevelopment will make ANZ a excellent place to watch footy matches of all crowd sizes. I can not wait for it to be completed.

Also the ground will remain open throughout the renovation process. Id actually prefer the ground to close while it is being worked on so i coild have a feeling of walking into a brand new stadium.

I'd go 10/1/1 at most.
Add the reciprocal membershipyou could possibly get 13 games played there for the price of 10\. Only other viable option would be parra.
I wonder would councils keep LO and CSS up to scratch for a couple of games a year?

Just a quick point for those saying how ANZ is giving us the money to play there, our genius former CEO who was spouting what a great 10 year deal he did with ANZ forgot to mention that the up-front payments we get from them was only for the first 5yrs of the deal, then for the second half we have to pay to play there (no financial guarantees). I've had this confirmed by someone at the club…..

Im a tigers supporter and im not willing to travel to leichardt or campbelltown because of the crap facilities and parking. So im sure opposition supporters feel the same way. From memory the biggest crowd weve had at leichardt is 15k recently. How many people do you think would turn up to leichardt or campbelltown if we played the dogs or eels there. Youd still be lucky go get 15k people there. There is no comparison really, bit hard to get 36,000 in either leichardt or campbelltown, unless you split the gsme in 2 and played 1 half in each ground
