Tigers interested in Beau Scott

Echoing the general sentiment so far, Right Price >> Yes

This guy is a mercenary and always been, different from the Discarded players that we used to bring in.

He has a hard edge to him that will help our youngsters like Sirro, Ava, Sue etc

Put him next to mitch for two years while he fills out.

Dont break the bank though….

Pointless fact: Always wears a hat because he's balding.

Insert Sad face here...

I'll just transplant all the hair off my back if baldness ever sets in

I think now the WT's will start spending their cap money more responsibly and find some suitable TPA's if needed for the right player

Our biggest challenge is still changing opposition players thoughts on the WT's

I'm not a big fan of the guy personally.

Personality wise, he makes Keith Galloway look like Jimmy Fallon.

**HOWEVER**

We could do with a player like that. Hard. Uncompromising. Tough.

As they say in the origin ad "He doesn't care if he has friends or not"

He'd rock up, work hard, do his job well, and go home. No politics, No show-boating, No Photos on Instagram, no Twitter wars. No punching kids in front of a Mcdonalds. No Wife beating. He's really end of the day a consummate professional by definition.

All at the right price, of course.

I hope Moltzen can kick on this year but if he doesn't Beau Scott, even if he is a forward, should replace him in 2016\. By the way wasn't Scott a first grade centre at one time?

I remember Warren Ryan signed such players as Graeme Wynne, Tony Rampling, Ron Gibbs, Andrew Farrar etc for Wests in the early 90's and we ended up making the semi finals.
Beau Scott would be a great addition.

Saints will have more money,we will be more appealing, which does he choose.

Surely we have some money left over after all the players released/left last year and beginning of this year? If he was smart, he'd know he would have a much better time of it here than at the Drags, they are going backwards in a hurry.

Yes we should have money to spend,it is just saints have Morris from this year and Merrin leaving next year they are desperate for a big name signing and therefore would offer more.

Depends if he wants good money and be a contender, or get exorbitant money and be no chance.

Also depends if you back yourself as a good footballer to turn around an ailing team

But at Scott's age I think winning another premiership would be high on his agenda / list of goals

I think at his age, whoever is prepared to give him the longest contract will get his signature.

Wow..this would be great hold on …Let me think Origin player tick..great defender tick Back rower tick...gives it Thurston every time ..big tick.....Wests Tigers Forum...pass

I'd take him any day as long as we aren't his Super Package.
This bloke hurts no matter if he's low or high.
There's nothing wrong with unsettling the opposition occasionally , as long as you choose wisely and no go over the line (too much)
And I'd guess he will always unsettle Thurston from now on without doing anything much at all.
He's unsettled him a few times in the past already(SOO as well in NRL games,
Would love seeing him beside Brooks.

Two months ago I would have said he is the perfect man to sign, experienced, hard nosed, highly competitive footballer. Now I am not so sure and he will come at a price that may be better used to try and extend a few of our current players who contracts expire in a year or so down the track.

Do not get me wrong if he came at a fair price he would be a good but I would rather see how are going in six weeks with our current roster before looking at a player like Scott. On the other hand if it was a game breaker like big Izzy that would be a different matter

That's a good question. Depends on if he is up for something new or would rather hook up with his old club again. He's been there, done that with Saints already, whereas with WT it would be a fresh start, with an exciting crop of youngsters, in an atmosphere that could totally lift his career to an even higher level. I know which one I'd choose

Yep it's an obvious choice. Roosters for sure.
