Tigers Leagues development update

The residential aspect is great as it will enhance the area and enliven it but the commercial development will kill our village atmosphere and turn Rozelle into another chatswood or Bondi with soul less shops that look like any other area

Village atmosphere? Victoria Road? Please… If people want to shop in the "village" down Darling St there is nothing to stop them. Much like the Woolworths in Balmain doesn't stop them now. People will still be free to shop where they choose to. Leichhardt is another example of where larger deveopments can work side by side with small shops and terrace housing. They're not talking about dumping a Westfield there...

The area needs a revamp to add some heart and soul back into the place, it offers nothing atm and needs a development of sorts to attract people. Last time I walked down that way there are a few Thai shops, massage places and Vinnies or something similar. As Kul mentioned keeping the heritage and adding the new can work hand in hand.

The day the Milk Bar was replaced with yet another womens fashion shop was the day the village atmosphere was forever killed

we all will just be happy, when a new balmain leagues club gets built, and we can go there after the game.
nothing more, nothing less.

Tbh….seeing as the most senior balmain team running round nowadays is the ball squad, the whole thing really seems pointless to me.

Primary focus of a Leagues club in a community sense should be funding junior football though shouldn't it Ink?

Yeh fair point, I was thinking once again how good it'd be to have a WTs Leagues Club

Thinkin out loud, seems to be catching here
