First half was very ordinary. Second half showed some promise once the rain had long subsided and things started to click a bit.

A lot of teams were clunky this week. Parra are meant to be top 4 contenders on paper and they just got away from the Dogs. I saw enough to dare believe we could be dangerous this year.

Lot will depend on how long Brooks is gone for and how long Benji can maintain the rage for ...if his wrist injury keeps him out this week I'd be very concerned

I don't know about numbers but after watching again Mikaele gets a special mention..getting the ball away with his 1st touch after being smashed led to Nofoaluma's TRY then his effort on effort after taking a hit up then another in the next play with a quick ptb led to Marshall's TRY...big involvements..

Totally agree with that assessment @Geo

If he gets rid of the brain farts he will play SOO within 2 years .....just remember you heard it here 1st

Unfortunately Thomas is a Queenslander so brain farts are in his DNA..

Sorry @hobbo1 you lost my vote when you upvoted Geo's comment .....

My God you spew out some jargon ?
Stick a ? in the hole and give your arse a rest ?

The MAFS tribe has spoken ....

I’ve stopped watching Mafs mate ...

And all the chicks are dumb and high maintenance, like you !

I think it was a great effort from the whole team to stick in the game and control it the way we did. In saying that we were fairly lucky as the Dragons missed a lot of opportunities that could have blown the score out in their favour. They made quite a few breaks and created a lot of opportunities that a better side might have scored from. Then again we should have scored a few more as well. The fact is that in years past we probably would have lost that game.
Benji was great and Reynolds couldn't really take a trick - I am sure he'll be dreaming (nightmares!) about Sims. I think we would have been far better with Brooks. Our pack was great today and a sure sign of better days ahead. Jennings is not the guy we need and as much as I love Thommo, he just didn't quite get there despite his usual effort. Finally I like Walters but not sure if we can afford the learning curve that he needs. Fingers crossed we get Grant.
I would love to see us have an injury free run with Doeuhi at fullback and Mbye in the centres, Thommo (or Momo) on the wing and Brooks back. Perhaps Aloiai at 13 with Musgrove getting more time.

How could you drop ET? I'm Flabbergasted!!!

I wouldn’t drop ET - I thought he was really good against the Warriors as well as the Dragons- I’d have him on my bench, but I’d start with Aloiai, Twal and Musgrove

Thought you only liked red cordial numbnuts

Must admit I didn't mind who are starting pack worked ...obviously it will need to change from time to time ...we will need to add size over ET from time to time

I disagree, the idea is to make your opponents job harder as the game progresses. It appeared that way to me in the Warriors trial and again vs Dragons. It showed on the scoreboard in those games.

When they need to interchange I was thinking Mikaele for Musgrove and ET for Aloiai. Sure, Elijah may not have the same “punch” in attack, but he is busy, especially in D, and adds some ball playing.
