The Wests Tigers' round-five NRL clash with South Sydney will be moved to the adjacent Sydney Football Stadium because of demolition and construction work about to start at the SCG.
The SCG Trust announced on Wednesday that the 'heritage round' match will still be played on the same day and time - at 3pm on Sunday, April 1.
The SCG work follows the recent announcement of a $186 million stage-two upgrade of the SCG masterplan.
Wests Tigers were informed by the SCG Trust that the MA Noble, Bradman and Dally Messenger stands will be decommissioned in March following the cricket season.
"Although disappointed we can't stage this game at the SCG, we have arranged an amazing schedule of activities that will commemorate the history of the Western Suburbs Magpies," Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys said.
"A feature focus of the day will be the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the 1952 Western Suburbs Magpies versus Souths grand final - the last first grade premiership won by the Magpies."
