There should be an apology in tomorrow's paper where he admits he was 100% WRONG
i'd pay to see the DT backtrack after that, so soon after an 'exclusive'. Could finally make them accountable for the crap they write, and make them think twice the next time they want to try and slander someomes good name

Agree, there should be a retraction and an apology issued to Farah, Sheens and the Tigers club. But then again that would be the honourable thing to do which is foreign for sorbents biggest competitor.

Wests Tigers captain Robbie Farah has reacted with anger over claims his relationship with coach Tim Sheens became unworkable during Australia's recent Four Nations campaign.

The Daily Telegraph reported Farah could be forced out of the NRL club due to a fallout with Sheens, who gave his star hooker limited playing time while coaching the Kangaroos in the UK.

The club released a statement on Friday on behalf of Farah, who affirmed his commitment to the Tigers for the 2012 season.

"Regrettably, the reports create a totally false impression of things," said Farah.

"When Tim told me that I would not be taking my place in the side (to play England at Wembley), I was understandably disappointed as any player would be.

"That said, I totally accepted Tim's decision.

"To now suggest that I would be seeking to leave the club that I love is just ridiculous and unfounded.

"Tim has been my coach since I came into first grade in 2003 and, whilst we agree to disagree on things from time to time, our working relationship has never been adversely affected."

Farah was less diplomatic on Twitter, where he responded to a post from former teammate Bryce Gibbs who described the story as a "disgrace".

"@bryceegibbs first class journalism once again," Farah tweeted.

I have to admit i like how proactive Robbie was about dealing with this. To release a statement so quickly and the way he described it all really was a smart move.

Do i think theres more to it? YES. But i think it will be sorted just like all the other spats.

Good to see Robbie and the club have been smart about the way this has been handled by taking the issue head on and releasing a statement sooner rather than later- well done to all concerned.

As for the other side of the fence, dear oh dear is there no ethics in journalism, people's lives are being 'played' with they are not throw away items!!!!!

All day I refuzed to read through the garbage that are the comments in response to these two articles. But i finally relented and had a peak, and it gave me a good laugh. The amount of people out there who lap up what ever the DT churn out and take it as gospel is both hilarious and mind boggling at the same time. All the Steelers fans laughing about how this was karma for what happened to Moltzen, Well Steelers fans I hope it gave you entertainment and joy for about an hour, because it certainly didn't pan out the way you were hoping did it, eh? such a shame Steeler fans. And to a lesser extent Parra fans, watering at the mouth at the prospect of seeing Farah an Eel lol

First thing when I heard this garbage this morning I posted this on another thread:

Dean Ritchie, you are a massive toss. This article is amature hour crap.

Maybe their is a little tension their but. Sheens has done so much for Robbie I can't see him losing respect for him.

Sheens made him captain, PICKED him in the Aussie team ahead of ennis, and surely would have played him in the wales game if he didn't have to fly back to see his ill mum.

To say he was upset not to get a bench spot in the Australian team is a load of crap. Robbie is not that type of player or person.

Journo's need to pull their heads in. They need to think of the problems they cause amongst fans, players and sponsors when they write things like this.

Won't be long before supporters start saying I'm not getting a membership if this is true, sponsors start getting nervous and the club could start losing respect, all because 1 idiot has free reign to publish unfounded and unsubstantiated bull feaces!!

For any supporter who questioned or judged our club, our captain, our coach on phantom journalism, I hope u have learnt a lesson!! I strongly urge any reader of the daily telegraph to think twice before the next time u by it. U never get this crap from the herald or any other news outlet. It's a disgrace that this will all be swept under the carpet and forgotten about next week, yet Robbie, Tim sheens and it's supporters had to cop criticism from people all day about it. It's a form of journalistic bullyism that should not be tolerated.

Funny how the same paper can write an article about the perils of bullying on a school kid but find no problem doing it them selves to innocent people!!! A DISGRACE!!!
