Tigers Set to Sign Kiwi International Brown

I recall at the time when he was running around in the NSWRL Cup for Balmain that there were quite a few forum members who couldn't believe he wasn't picked for the NRL side, since then he's become an International player and a very good clubman, something that Sheenius never recognised.

Why on earth wld we sign Lewis Brown….hes either a midget forward (97kgs)in a pack that gets dominated more often than not,or a very slow and aging back....
Cant make Gus's run on team..
Just not getting it

11 Lewis Brown

lol

I tend to agree on Marzie with this one. Not really the player we need imo. We have enough workhorses, we need a brute to shake up the opposition. Brown doesn't fit the bill.

Yeah, but hes wearing Peacheys no 11 jersey..plus theres at least 2 other forwards out who wld be picked in front of him.
If all availablecant get a gig in first choice run on team…we have plenty of those already
Turns 30 next yr...not 4 me.

i think brown is an awesome player. i remember him at the warriors and was surprised they let him go. then my dad told me he came from the tigers and i couldnt believe it!

personally, i think he is a great hard running hard hitting backrower who wouldnt be out of place in the centres as well.

would be stoked if they signed him.

I think the thing is though, is that finding a reliable tough guy with experience and who doesn't break down regularly that's able to cover back row and probably centre at an affordable price is a tough gig. He wouldn't have a hefty tag at all I wouldn't think.

HE IS 28?? damn, thought he was 23ish lol[/quote

I'm sure that Lewis appreciates you adding a couple of years to his career, could this be a situation just like the signing of Scott Sattler to add guidance to the younger players and lead to a Premiership?.
