Does he occupy a top 30 spot?…how many left 2?

Doesn't occupy a Top 30 spot, unless he is promoted to one after pre-season.

Still three spots remaining.

can play after round 10 (or something) cant he?

Yeah, it's some date around there that players outside the Top 30 can be picked without needing an exemption.

You can never have too many promising young forwards, but a team plumetting south down the ladder with a bullet that has a a truckload of $$ to spend ,needs a couple of established NRL players in our 2022 team rite now..
As for Adam Elliot..anytime you can buy an established NRL player for $250k in ANY position you seize it with both hands,as it creates opportunities elsewhere..His misdemeanors were miniscule compared to Packer and even Musgrove

Elliot isn't any more an established NRL player as many of the seasoned players in our team already.. I think its better avoiding those kind of players given we criticize their mediocrity right throughout the season. And thats just commenting on his football ability, I think we all know how his morals and off field antics sit... ideally not the kind of joker you want around.

Our backrow is in a state of flux, and apart from Luciano no-one walks into that space each week..and in Lucianos case for 60 mins only, despite the coach nor concurring
Elliot wld have given us first picked backrower week in week out for 80 mins..hes nothing special...Elijah Taylor standard from a year or two ago.Which is more than good enuff, and more than we currently have
,At that price its a lost opportunity, but no point lamenting.Need to move on
Maybe we buy someone better..maybe Seyfarth and Gardner lift their games to make them indispensable..maybe Taumolino joins us..maybe a pink pig flies thru the sky??
We need quality injections to our roster

Presume replacing Amone. I'd love it to be replacing Tamou but not yet by the look of things.

TBH, I am hoping Tamou fires up next season to lead the team, agree, he didn’t do it last season.

Can't see it... Hoping but not holding my breath

Never seen a bloke on a Cup contract get a dedicated thread..since Rhyce Pritchard..

Go good young fella

Surely Gebbie had his own thread. He was labelled on here as the next Olam and JAC all rolled into one supreme athlete.

Can't wait to see him kill it, first kid that I have coached at High School level to sign with the mighty Tigers. Go Christian.

I would prefer Lucy, Blore & Garner at 2nd row. Even Peachy.
Don’t think Elliot would improve our side ‘on field’ by much if at all. Off-field we dont need our young players influenced by him.
In the last year or so, Adam Elliott has been an average ball runner and a well below-average defender. He's probably now being paid what his performances warrant. For Canberra he’s unnecessary because I don't think he's any better than 6th.
Tapine
Sutton
Young
Horsburgh
Mooney
Elliott
Would prefer someone else given the chance in 22 and in 23 Papali’i and Blore.

congrats mate, must be rewarding to see him get a gig. Any others you have coached that you think will make it?

Oh nice, where'd you coach him at ?
Thoughts on him as a player?

That's an insult to Elijah Taylor saying Elliott is of similar standard. Elliott is gash as a player. He was a poor performer for the worst side in the NRL era. It's actually no coincidence that the Dogs improved over the last few weeks after he was stood down. If he was any good at all, Gus would not have flicked him for what wasn't a huge indiscretion. He is substandard

We'll see if he makes the run on side at the Raiders.
Personally I think his record as a serial grub off the field has impaired his earnings on the field..hes nothing special, never mentioned in SOO conversations, but a real solid first grader.
We dont have that many that fit that description..and at 250k he\ll be a good pickup for Ricky

Coached him at Westlake Boys High School in NZ, great young kid and really humble. But more importantly he is a real work horse and had a great motor for a young kid. He was identified by the knights at a very young age but stuck behind the Safititi Brothers. Am not involved with the program at the school anymore but am always seeing the praises of the Tigers haha, much to my detriment recently.
