Tigers slam Dragons over Moltzen [update]

Humpty is not bullying Qantas caterers anymore to make nicer tasting mash potatoe for less money here, he is poorly managing this club and trying (poorly) to bully a seasoned Rugby League administrator in Peter Doust via the media and Spinning the truth into what he believes is his advantage.

Disgraceful Disgraceful management.

Before Humprhies statement I was already thinking how un professional of the Dragons to announce a signing a few hours before we were playing reeks of the kind of arrogance that the dragons are known for. If the release hasn't been granted either then it deserved a strong statement from our CEO , especially as they announced it on game day - POOR EFFORT DRAGONS , Good on you Humphreys for fighting back perhaps we should not release Moltzen just to spite the dragons but I guess that would be falling to their level - Doust has always been a poor advertisement for Rugby League and it continues

And Bug perhaps if QANTAS caterers realised they were selling mash potatoe on a plane and not caviar at Tetsuyas then they wouldnt need to be bullied

Martin Tauber is a very honest and dilligent person who has an impeccable reputation in regards to financial management. I have been lucky enough to have been in his company a number of times and the man oozes honesty and integrity. Everything he does is done with transparency. He preaches loyalty first, and the Wests Tigers should thank this man for Benji staying at WT.

Other managers would have taken Benji to Rugby for Millions of dollars but Martin preaches loyalty.

He is a quality person.

Not doubting his honesty, but his statements in Marshalls assault case were reckless and amateur to say the least.

yeah bug,hooray for tauber.
his talk of japan rugby just screamed loyalty first.
he just used japan rugby to get the tigers to pay millions.i get it.

Moltzen has talent. However he will have to overcome petulance and get over himself a little if he wants to be a success in the NRL. For mine he chooses times to make efforts and make runs. There the sorts of players im happy to see the back of. Saints might get the best out of him, but it won't happen here, whether it is his fault or not.

No mate, you are wrong. Martin always said with Benji, even going back to 2005, he said when Benji's contract was to expire they would look at going to Rugby. Please dont put Tauber in the ' Leach' category. He is far from that believe me.

If I was a director on the Wests Tigers board, I would be dragging Humphreys in front of the board quick smart and demand an explanation for what has occurred and what he is doing to alleviate the situation. Yesterday saw our club take a massive hit in its value and as shareholders, Wests and Balmain should have some concerns.

The club appears to be on a path to self destruction. I hope and expect the administration to have a plan, but the negative aspects of the whole thing is unfolding in the press and it is embarrassing. If/When there are signing announcements, this will have a positive effect, but given the deterioration of good will and faith on the part of members and sponsors over the past weeks, the positive effects of any signing may not be enough and there could be a permanent loss in value that will set the club back towards the dark days of 2002\. This whole episode could impact the bottom line of the club through lack of sponsorship, reduced membership and any other revenue source available. The horse has not bolted yet, but some sort of damage minimisation strategy with the press should be implemented. Announce something, anything that is positive!

good to hear there is someone you do love.
been worried about you for a while.

yeah,he played the rugby card.

If the tigers are so upset about what the dragons said, does this now mean Moltzen will stay? I hope so. I agree he hasnt showed any glimpses of form this season but he is recovering from serious knee surgery. But he is young. Lets pick Lui in the centres against the cowboys and see how he goes.

And both you guys know more than the Dragons recruitment team.
If anyone has been hanging in because of Marshall it's Lui.
Now that Marshall is out of form you can see what a real dud he is.
Moltzen has been given zero chance this year by being forced to play in different positions week in week out.

now i was at the game last night and besides lui's defence which is shocking he made 3-4 line breaks, some ok passing and his kicking game was on par with everyone elses for pathetic.
Maybe we should stop bagging our half and look to the guys we will be having next year and trying to see where that could go for us.

Not just Lui, Jacob Miller should be getting groomed to be our long term number 7.

Tauber has a history of getting Benji to get other player to sign with hin - even when they have a preexisting relationships with other player managers. He has been the cause of a lot of disharmony in camp over the years.

Is anyone as confused as I am?? Is Moltzen going to Saints or not ?? If he is , is it 2012 or 2013 ?? Why can't the management at our club just he honest . If we've lost him Fine But just come out and say it and don't make excuses or cover your butts .Anyone who is in management or runs a business knows the golden rule Own the problem , fix the problem and get on with it . How hard can it be ??

Lui outplayed Marshall last night and Moltzen did nothing in the 20 minutes he was out there. Again, good luck to him but it's not a huge loss to the Tigers. They have better halves, centres and fullbacks coming through the NYC at the moment.

I think the problem may be Dugan. If he is able to put pen to paper Moltzen will go. If not I have a feeling he will be our fullback next season. Sheens obviously dont rate him as a halfback.

Willow you would stick up for Lui if he missed 100 tackles and threw 50 intercept passes in the one game.
Every time there is criticism directed a him you deflect it to someone else - usually Moltzen.
I'm sure you would have been squirming reading all the recent threads calling for Lui to be dumped - which he deserves.
Marshall had another shocker - true.
At least he has the REAL talent to come back.
If he was running on two good legs he would have easily scored last night.
If you think Lui making a few breaks (one of which he bombed a certain try) means he had a good game then look at his tackling and his service to his outside backs.
Then have a look at the pitiful attempted tackles he ran through - reminiscent of his own tackling prowess.
At least with Moltzen going to a team who will utilise his talent in future you will only need protect Lui from Jacob Miller.
