Looking at those stats…well a lot of them are not too bad really, it was just the soft missed tackles and lack of any real intensity in the first half which killed the Tigers. 10 missed tackles between Dwyer and Marshall is alarmingly poor although overall Souths missed more tackles than the Tigers did with 46 to 31.

The metres gained by the forwards is all fairly evenly distributed except for Fulton, but not one forward made more than 100 metres in attack and the sideways movement the Tigers showed in the first half was the main contributer. Given the minutes played by Fifita, Woods and BMM, their stats are all impressive.

It's clear that if the Tigers are to beat sides most weeks, Marshall and Lui clearly need to improve their stats, they only handled the ball half as much as Farah and did not come up with and try assists between them, plus the kicking game was again rubbish.

It's amazing how the kicking game can be spot on one week the absolute garbage the next…Maybe the surface had something to do with it....Wests Tigers are fast trackers...

I think the most damning stat is that 2 of our bench only played a total of 26mins!!! We need to stop playing a winger/ fullback on the bench and if Schirnack is only getting 12mins gametime he shouldn't be in the team. Also Fultons attack stats are horrible. We just lack go forward, there are too many runs from dummy half IMO!!!

Galloway played 20 minutes more than Fifita and made 1 more hit up and only 6 more tackles.

Not good enough.

Fulton played twice as long as Fifita and made 75 meters less in attack and only made 6 more tackles.

Aweful effort.

I think the real weak point yesterday was the backrow with Dwyer especially dissapointing, Heghno was average and Fulton just offers nothing in attack. Can't wait to have Ellis , Gibbs and Payten back to toughen up that central defence

A lot of talk about Souths and how many injuries they have but gee - I think we had at least 4 definite starters out of our side and another in Payten who would be a t least off the bench

On our kicking game I though it was up and down - we did force 4 dropouts (and yes I know Fifitas was one but its a kick none the less) and very nearly a try to Farah from a Marshall kick in the first half - that must have been only centimeters off

I think the 4-1 penalty count in the first 30 mins and the 2 dropouts we didn't get back were key moments that cost us the game along with the defence in the centre- I know Marshall missed some but the backrowers need to be their doing the work

Most impressive were McKinnon, Farah and Fifita

Not pretty reading. The younger forwards were clearly better than the older brigade. Woods looked fantastic with that first run and offload to McKinnon, Ben M-M looked powerful and even when met close to the advantage line, he was able to make ground after contact, Fifita a little mixed but his work rate is improving. Fulton and KG made a lot of tackles but nothing too outrageous. KG seems a bit below his best at the moment like he has some sort of niggling injury. Fulton is just getting smashed with the ball. He'd almost be better at centre in attack than 2nd row.

My gripe of the week? Personally I get sick of seeing every kick off we field, our forwards get pushed back, every time the other mob run it back they carry defenders up to the 20m line.

BMM looks like a gun. I'm not sure if he is a backrower or a prop but that was (I think) his 2nd game back. He deserves to have a regular spot on that performance.

So do you think Fulton is only capable of making 15 metres in attack?

Do you think Heighington can only make 80 metres when he is on the field for 65 minutes??

If Woods, BMM and Fifita can make 90 metres in attach whilst on the field for 35 minutes, what could they do in 45 when Heighno/Fulton/Dwyer were struggling and not bloody running hard??

Interchange policy, attitude and preparation was the problem yesterday and its SHEEN'S FAULT!

The reasons for losing this week again are: attitude, preparation and interchange policy.

Were these the problem last week?
Last week you could tell from the start the Tigers were on their game.

This week they looked disinterested and had a poor attitude.
This is the inconsistency, I and many others are talking about.

Whose fault is the inconsistency? The guy who prepares the team… i.e. Sheens

And as I said, its not completely his fault, but the majority of the fault is HIS.

If it wasn't for him, this club wouldn't be as we know it. Thank you for that Tim.
And he is invaluable in the aspect that he has so much experience.
But what's the point of having 627 games when you learn zilch from it?
He doesn't learn from his mistakes and whose fault is it?
Prejudice, arrogant behaviour and favouritism is the biggest problem in this team.

Some of the stats that stood out to me last night:

1\. Not 1 of our forwards got over 100 meters in attack, with Galloway being our best only averaging 8mtrs. McKinnon, Utai & Ayshford did more work hitting the ball up???

2\. Our kicking meters were very low, with Marshall only gaining 132meters with the boot, at an average of 26mtr/kick. Sutton averaged 42mtr/kick???

3\. Too many missed tackles. Dwyer 5, Marshall 5 & Farah 4???

4\. Our creative players made twice as many tackles as they should. Farah 40, Lui 14 & Marshall 11.

5\. Our use of the bench was once again poor. This is highlighted by Schirnack (14min) & Ryan (12min) played very little part, but our boys made an extra 30 tackles to Souths and lacked meterage up the field…

Both sides had a lot of missed tackles in this game but we're continuing a poor defensive effort from the canberra game where we also had too many missed tackles.

In both games, both sides were appalling. Just the end outcome makes the winning team look better than they were.

I agree with this, we couldn't get into the game because of the penalties, at least one of which was shown to be wrong on the replays. At the end we were near enough to have won with some luck.

On Fulton, the only way he will get consistent attacking metres is if he is used to take the ball up, which is a waste. He is a wide-running forward who did not break the line yesterday. If he is put in the clear a couple of times in the match, he makes 90 metes or so, if not he just gets knocked over and ends up with shocking looking stats.
