Tigers Team Vs Penrith - Trial#2

Both Wests Tigers and the Panthers (edit) have named VERY strong teams, which should lead to a cracker game.....IF the boys turn up to play.

Looking at that WT squad I can't argue with it. There's probably only one or two "coin toss" selections in the 18, most spots taken by the best person for that position. I wish I could get there, as I missed out on the Dogs game at Newcastle Stadium despite actually being in Newcastle at the time and driving past the ground twice (busy picking up my L- plater young bloke's first car from an auction place) and visiting our oldest daughter. I could get Kayo to watch the game but I can't and won't out of principle.

However I'm not going to miss the game v Souths at Gosford. It's a bit further for us than Newcastle, around 3 and a half hours taking it easy. I also want to get to WT's away match v
Newcastle and hit my old stomping grounds at Campbelltown, catch up with some family friends and take my beautiful youngest daughter to her very first HOME game (the one we went to when she was a few months old doesn't count 😝) So far she has only been to GIO Stadium in Canberra (last year) to watch her hero and crush, Jerome Luai😍 and the boys do their thing surrounded by fellow Tigers supporters instead of being badly outnumbered! 😬
Next year I'll take her to a Leichhardt game so she can see games at BOTH home grounds and I'd like to eventually check out Combank with her as well.

Skelton has had plenty of NSW Cup experience from the Dogs days.
we have a genuine star in Makasini
Skelton can be a defensive liability
We all (well most of us) said that about A.D. prior to last year, then his defence went to absolute other level in season 2025.
Hopefully either Benji or Skeleton himself identified his short comings at season end 2025 and they have worked on it in the pre season and J.S. does an Adam Doueihi and proves our fears over his defence wrong season 2026 and beyond.

Excited to see Taylan May and Makasini on the left together!

Also will have a keen eye on KPP, hopefully uses that offload and Bula and To'a are there waiting for it

Defensively KPP will make a difference for us over the season but I really hope we use him more in attack with the ball and at times as a decoy to free up Bula/Toa/Turuva. Could be a very potent right edge.

Yeah Bunty at Leichhardt , trial or not its going to be awesome , hopefully he's in for a ripper. Man I enjoyed last week's win even though trials don't count for much,Jerome won't play the whole game and Penrith won't have there best side, but surely he wants to win ..you can't say it's means nothing, against Penrith,Maverick needs to stand out also step out of his dad's shadow.
I hope Iam wrong, but maverick is a every average player
