If he wants to play first grade then he may have to suck it up and sacrifice some money. He can make $750K a year or whatever it is riding out his contract in reserve grade or he can made $100K a year less to have another go at the top grade. We just need to draw a line in the sand as to how much we'll chip in and then his manager will just have to negotiate as much as he can from the next club...

I am fairly sure Lawrance already has the long serving player allowance applied so that is no saving! so we are now down to $700k for 3 players and that is only if his other figures are close, which I doubt as well!

No particular reason or proof but it would not surprise me in the slightest if Reynolds took a pay cut. I believe we will still pay close to if not the full 500k but he will sacrifice some money on the other side for the final shot at the top.

Also we were close to signing DWZ ... there was a gap to be filled but I believe we could not match Bulldogs offer, and that was taking into consideration our penalty. So?

I highly doubt that as he has been playing 1st grade for us for 13 years. The allowance would kick in a lot lower than that!
