Tigers to offload Heighington

It is sad to see him go but injuries have runied his career, he is a great player and he should have had a better sendoff he will probably follow Ellis to Hull. This also makes me more confident for next year.

Reminder his is contracted to the Tigers for 2013…will only leave if another team wants him...

No he should be 2nd immediately after that disgrace of a coach

At least if sheens goes we know moltz probably won't be first choice fullback

I am not saying i want him to go, he is one of my favourite players.

Absolutely disgusted by this. Heighno is a bloody good player, his problem is Sheens.

For all the forumers who think he runs at markers at his own will, your fools. I asked him in person at a gearzone signing, he's told by Sheens to do it, and he said he hates doing it. He also said that his natural game was being changed by Sheens ever since he came into the starting 13.

He may not be a superstar, but at least he gives his all and has more heart than half the team, unlike Moltzen/Blair/Ayshford and co.

I'll be writing a formal letter of my disgust to our idiot board and head coach, who wouldn't know heart if it hit them in face. In this was the final straw in renewing my membership.

Of course I will wait till this is official. But if the news was correct, that'll do me.

Don't really blame Farah for getting out of this mess of a club either if he ended up heading to Parra.

Heighno and Beau are like Hindmarsh and Burt at Parra. The reason for that is passion for your jersey, loyalty and heart.

Ive loved Heighno for the way he plays, the way he talks about the club and respect him as our most capped player. Heart and soul player. Im pretty sure when all this contract stuff with Penrith was happening last season and he re-signed for 2 seasons, the second season was in his favour?? Maybe this is his decision? Im hopeful as our most capped player he will be a 1 club player and he ends up in England. Im sure if we had lost Santi or Sironen because we kept Heighno on to long you wouldnt be saying all this.

Pretty poor form from the club if this mail is true. Heighno was hardly the reason the team played so poorly this season, and towards the back end of the season he was one of the better players. He may lack impact, but he sure as hell went better than Blair this year.

I'd be looking at offloading the likes of Moltzen, Reddy and Ayshford before Heighno.

I'd be offloading the likes of Sheens.

I'm desperate to see how this current group of players go under a different coach, then and only then should the club start looking at the players.

How have injuries ruined his career?

your one hundred percent right he has played much better after injury you can not even tell he was injured can you? his form is awesome.

He was playing like a busted before he got injured as well, so yeah, another good call

This is 100% true about the running at markers part. It annoys me no end however if heighno is moved on next year we'll just see Fulton/Blair do it, or maybe sheens will get in early and start ruining santis career by instructing him to do it.

Look I don't mind that heighnos being moved on. What I dont get though is the timing, to me it seems to be a knee jerk reaction by sheens in trying to show that he is doing something different or putting the foot down. And why do it at the end of the year when there is NO chance of buying anyone to replace him, and less chance of a team being able to buy him.

I reckon we should let them all go…not one of the above performed to expectation this year...and you can add other to this list like Blair and co.

Once again, the media claim something so everyone thinks it must be true. And secondly, if it is true, he is still contracted and can look around if HE wants to. He has not been sacked. There is a difference! If he chooses to stay, he will be paid a full contract.

I wonder why some jump at the club immediately when these things happen. By all means have an opinion, but he has not been sacked.

Some of you people would be terrible to live with. I can imagine the sentimental junk that's piling up in your lounge rooms and garages. Hoarders, much?

The other thing I should add - if true - maybe he was told he would not be resigned at the end of next year and they gave him the heads up. Therefore he's made the decision because he feels he could attract a better deal while he still has a few seasons left in him.

He has been one of our biggest under performers of the last few years, so I understand the decision.

My issue is that the club is again attempting to freshen things up, yet the man who matters most, the biggest under performer of all, still remains: the coach.
