Tigers vs eels round 7 2014

I was there at ANZ going off my brain with both the brooks and Richards intercept tries. The Richards try felt like a homecoming and I was on my feet screaming. One of the best moments of the season.

That said it was in hindsight a scrappy game we were lucky to get away with. Sandow had a shocker, couldn't find touch, missed easy conversions, basically handed the game to an understrength Tigers side. I think I yelled out "you had better luck on the pokies Sandow" as he missed another 40/20, which seems a little unkind thinking back.

He missed the conversion to win them the game basically in front (well 10 metres to the right of the posts)

****

 The things we yell out at games in the heat of the moment.

I thought Akaoula had a good game that day He was dragging two and three defenders with him all day and pulled off a crucial tackle on someone late in the game

Missed last nights replay, but what a day it was…attending with several Parra fans made it sweeter...everything fell into line that day

I still remember listening to this game. I was on a camping trip and i was hunched over the radio as-if it were a fire on a cold night. And when i heard Brooks kick the field goal i was jumping up and down, same when i heard Sandow miss the conversion, everyone at the camp ground was looking at me like wtf are you doing? haha

IQ failed… 😢

Wouldn't have helped Geo - I taped it on IQ - only taped for 35 minutes - when I checked the program list they had the game as only a 35 min program with something else programmed. I'm guessing they didn't update their programs as no one else is complaining about not seeing the whole game.

One of the best wins of the yr, definitely the gutsiest.

Was there, sitting behind a bunch of obnoxious Parra fans, which made the finish even better.

I remember getting the grumps when Sandow was about to kick for goal and heading to the bar for a final beer, thinking it was over. Ducked into the loo, came back and thought there was a glitch with the scoreboard. Looked up, Brooks nailed a field goal then Patty knocked a penalty goal over from half way. Spilled half my beer celebrating.

That penalty goal at the end was an extremely dumb decision.

Yep I don't exactly remember the points… I think we were leading by 1 and they put it out on the full at kick off. Had 100% faith in Richards to slot it or out of play but Yeh it was a dumb decision.

Kicking for touch would've been much wiser.

From memory Anasta wanted to go for touch but the call came down from Potter to take the 2\. Poor decision which could have cost us if Parra regained the short kick off.

Actually Sandow's kick off somehow ended up on Parra's own 40 with a heap of back spin
