He is employed to coach the team and won a premiership.
If he stays with wests-tigers I will be pleased, but If he does decide to move on, I hold or bear no grudges toward him.

Even though this is only a rumour it will unsettle the players, also i thought if this would happen royce would of stayed around for another year & maybe put in for the job. the main worry to me now is what will rowdy do. also lack of quality coaches @ the moment, dont want nathan brown, but i hope this is only a rumour.

Well if true, we need a coach and a fullback, and theres only one package deal like that on offer. I do remember many years ago Bennet saying if he ever coached anyone other than Brisbane he'd like it to be Balmain, so who knows.

In a paper a few weeks ago it said that sheens was close to re-signing with the Tigers. Now we have a random caller saying that sheens has signed with Souths. I think that it's bs. Sheens will resign for another 2 years.

I would love the idea that Gus becomes our new coach. For rugby league the guy is a genius. I just thank god that I wouldn't be in the sheds listening to his talks about how it's war in the trenches!!!! The players could keep that, plus he wouldn't be on channel 9 as much

If Sheens does go then there is not much that can be done about that as was mentioned earlier, life goes on. It is up to the club, in that case, to secure a quality replacement. In the meantime, Sheens and the players are professionals, they should turn their minds to focus on a season working together to achieve something they all want and that is 'win the premiership'. If they all focus on this year then what happens after that can be dealt with then.

I hope this is true. we need a new coach - its time now - bennett, bellamy, kearney and then folkes. sheens is a good person i think and a great scout and potential developer but he doesnt have the magic - i dont think he ever did - we have the team to win the comp but he need a rudder on this ship. good luck to sheens - bennett would be a dream come true - but he wouldnt stay too long but i believe we'd win a comp or two with him there - but i dont think bennett would come.

The first thing I would do in my inaugural term is instill some bloody Mongrel and killer instinct into the forward pack. Why does Gareth Ellis have it for EVERY game and the other forwards don't????

Killer instinct, passion, pride, win at all costs, hatred for the opposition, passion for your club and for your supporters. I would not alienate supporters like Fonz does with stupid policies or with stupid comments.

I would unite and fight as one.

Thats exactly rite Bug.
We actually have quite a large pack now that Fulton is out,but with the exception of Ellis noboby has any mongrel in them,hits with any venom,& is feared & respected by the opposition..so most weeks (particularly when we lose ),the forward pack has been totally steamrollered(think Souths last year at SCG to make an extreme point)
Under Sheens there is no intimidation factor whatsoever to provide a go-forward platform for the backs

As this is rumor only no real use debating to much but IMO this could be a good thing and don't underestimate the coaching talent around they will be linning up around the corner to get there hands on this bunch new start new direction this is all positive maybe time to move on!

Talking about mongrel …think I saw Benji high 5 Ennis at some point during the game and Fifita hugging Idris after the game......shouldn't they hate each other (at least for a week).
I'd rather see players ignoring one another...even if they socialise together beyond the game.
