The point is your "facts" are unsubstantiated. You are all too quick to put the boot into Sheens whenever there is a topic about him, even when the team is winning. Pity you don't comment nearly as much on the Tigers players and how the team is performing in general.

IMO sheens deserves to be re-signed as coach, he appears to have a good rapport with the players, he has been at the helm when development of juniors has been fostered and he should be around to reap the benefits of that approach with, his rugby league background and experience is immense, he has the best interests of the club at heart from my observations. It is a bit of a mystery though why he hasn't signed yet.

I hope he signs soon so that you whingers can start the sack sheens campaign. You are probably the same lot that didnt want the merger to go ahead between Balmain and Wests. Time to wake up and realise that Sheens came on board when no other coach wanted to take on the role and has done a great job in building a sustainable club but noooo lets have a dig.

Actually my posts cover a broad range of subjects,& only yesterday I praised Sheens for selecting a goalkicker to cover the loss of Lote & Lawry.I resisted any temptation to add comments like "belatedly" or "better late than never"…or "finally"!

There a a majority of Sheens supporters on this forum,& Im a sceptic & have provided reasons for my position.The fact that I (& others)have opinions which differ re Sheens or any other subject is what makes a forum interesting(well,to most people anyway) ,& at the end of the day theyre all irrelevant too as the folk actually making these decisions re Sheens future are doing so rite now without any influence or help from us.
And you can bet the two areas of contention are his term & the terms!

Bellamy rejected us because a couple of the **outspoken senior players at that time made some offensive remarks,& made him feel unwelcome**.He was on board prior to that
Bellamy,despite the cap issues,is regadless an extremely competent coach who transforms almost all players under his tutelage into better players,& more importantly has them playing cohesively as a team.
Id sign him in a heartbeat..& so would the other 15 clubs!
As for the players accepting their share of responsibility,theres truth in that,but we must have had 60-70 different players in out first grade squad over the past 6 years,& they almost all cant underperform.
Common denominatator (altho he'd has some of u believing otherwise)ihas been,& remains,the messiah
He needs to earn his next long term contract,not be awarded it based on historical deeds of half a decade ago

Actually,some of us who choose facts over fiction & the present over the past who feel its the Sheens PR wagon ably represented on this forum that rolls out the same old arguments to support signing him long term based on a handful of games in 2010 after a non achieving 4 years :unamused: .

Most coaches in NRL would look fantastic if they were $1000000 over the cap . A lot of clubs would have had the same player usage if they had the same injury toll we had

The obvious advantage would be the ability to assemble and retain a squad of players of far greater quality than your opposition. Although you still have to have the ability to get these players up each week and supply them with a winning game plan and thats where the real skill of a coach comes into play. You know its often easier to coach a average team than a great team, less egos and less expectations to deal with

Exactly… I would go as far as to say Sheens was operating on a reduced budget before 2009, reduced by as far as $600-$800k. Pretty hard to assemble a 'great' squad throughout this period...

The advantage would be …. Jeff Lima ,Ryan Hoffman ,Brett Finch , Greg Inglis etc Pretty good advantage Watto I reckon

The advantage of being 1 million over the cap is you hold onto your star player & they go nowhere, & maybe you sign up another super star which sheens couldnt do with lack of money untill the last 2 years. also we won a comp when we were well under the salary cap.

100%… If you serve average tomatoes in your salad, you will have an average salad. Now we have quality fruit, we are producing a better product.

Sheens has been the Chef, worked out what produce he has needed and trained his apprentices well, and now we have a 5 star Restaurant.

Excellent Result... Give him a payrise and extension!!!
