Tim Grant in doubt

Tim Grant has a problem with a hamstring Just reported by Erin Molan on Footy Show

Maybe Woodsy or Keefy might get a call up yet

Yeah saw that, but then Robbie said afterwards that he'd be alright. I reckon they might put Woodsy on standby though.

According to the news Woods is already with the squad to cover for injury. So i'm assuming if Grant was to be ruled out Woods would at least get a start on the bench.

I think you will find if something does happen, Gallen will go back to prop and Buhrer will come onto the bench. I think they would claim that Buhrer 'adds dimension' to the side as cover and Lewis can concehtrate on back row as opposed to being a utility.

No chance. Woods will come in for Grant.

Surely they're not going to go into the game with three players under an injury cloud? That would be beyond stupid.

Precautionary. If a back rolls an ankle on Wednesday arvo, Morris comes in. If a forward does it, Woods comes in.

I think you misunderstood me. I was referring to the fact that Watmough, Gallen and Grant are all injured. Surely they aren't going into the game with three injured forwards. Grant can't play with an injury too, it's just asking for one of them to go down early.

Yep that would just be handing the game, and with it the series, over to QLD. Watmough has to have injections to play and Gallen has been carrying an injury since before the first game and now Grant! Bloody ridiculous! If NSW are serious about winning this damn thing, then they really need to pick fit players.

Fair enough. NSW do have 4 running forwards on the bench (instead of a utility) so it could be worth the risk. Watmough and Gall are both definitely worth rolling the dice on.

Gallen yes because I'm sure he won't come of, but Watmough's injury has forced him from the field in games this year already. Big risk.

Tigers’ Woods more than ready to tee off in Origin

SET OF SIX

1 The performances of Aaron Woods and Keith Galloway for Wests Tigers in the rain against Melbourne was a reminder of how valuable they might be against Queensland on Wednesday, particularly since the Maroons have been downsized with Corey Parker coming into their squad for the injured Sam Thaiday. NSW should be going into State of Origin II with another big man. They may be good enough to win with the team they have picked, particularly with Thaiday out, but I can't help thinking their chances would be increased had they dropped Ben Creagh and promoted either Woods or Galloway in his place - particularly if it is still wet in Sydney. Woods is ready for Origin and will make a great replacement for Tim Grant should the debutant be ruled out.
