Tim Grant

I don't think we have too many players that are better than him in that position

I agree. I don't get what people see in Ava. He's alright, but i don't think he's any better than Grant.

I don't know you guys - he is probably worth 350.

If he pays us 350 to play for us that would help with the cap.

cq, I think Woods, Sue, Tapau. Ava, Buchanen, Graham etc. right down to Freddy Smith in Z grade are all better than him.
Certainly played well last night - right!

You wouldn't touch this guy with a barge pole.

If they sign Grant i wont renew my membership how many years of DUD buys can we take.

Most of those names have just strengthened my argument.
Thank you

I think he's been good at times throughout his career, but this year he has mostly looked angry and lacking discipline to me.

This is usually caused by frustration which is a sure sign that he is off the pace, for whatever reason.

So it would be a big no from me.

For the price….?

He's languished in State cup since being on the outer.

Same thing happened to Andrew Fifita, remember lads? Look how that one turned out.

Tim Grant has the potential to come good like Fifita did - I mean, he was a State of Origin player!

Wanted Grant to come here before he signed with Souths, but he hasn't been to impressive with the Bunnies. I don't know, he may be worth a shot at a bargain price, since this is all we can afford. He certainly has plenty of experience, which we will need next season, but I think his 'best before' date has passed by.

Just the guy we need big tall and aggressive, i know he had an ordinary year, with a bit of work put into him, I think he will turn it around

He got cleaned out of the Pennies because he was on a motza and they were freeing up space. He's not the only forward at the Bunnies not going great guns

He's big, which we need, and he played Origin. If he's not a fortune I'd have him for sure, in front of Ava for mine, not that Ava's bad but he's no world beater

He played Origin a long long time ago and has never found that form since due to injuries. We can't look at what a player once was we need to look at what they are now.

Ava for mind is already better performer than Grant week in week out IMO, I was critically of Ava at the start of the year but he has really been impressive for us during the last half of the season.

Origin was only 2012 and he would have made 2013 as well but for a broken hand when Tamou got punted for misbehaviour

He was originally under contract for the Panthers until end 2016 then signed 4 years with Souths for 2015-18\. I get he hasn't been in great form but its pretty likely we would get plenty of help paying his wages which in my books means we could definitely get him for "unders"

I can't see any real bad injuries plus he's still only 27

As far as Ava goes, as the little girl on the Old El Paso ad says "why not have both"

Let Buchanan and Lodge both go

Grant played SOO only 3 years ago.
He also played 20 games for the defending premiers this year. Not too scrubby considering how they play the game. A big body brought in to cover the loss of another big body, Sam Burgess.

Not at all saying let's not grab him, we need depth here and he would add that, that's for sure.

Also the reduced interchange will kill him even more. He's got a smaller engine than keithy, and given his average form with 10 interchanges you can only see him getting worse from here…
