Tim Moltzen- Looking Elsewhere

A player from the top 13 who told me that Potter told him he could look elsewhere…Raiders and Panthers are options. He told me when I said I could not wait for Moltzen to be back hoping he would play 5/8.

No great surprise really. Has never really stood out at any position. In his two best positions we have the depth/youngsters coming through.

Was just thinking about him this morning. His name hasn't been mentioned AT ALL in the last few weeks. Whenever our injury toll is spoken about no one even remembers he is on the sidelines, and given the increased spotlight on Brooks and Moses for the halves, Moltzen has really gone missing.

going to be a tough sell coming off a season ending injury.his form wasn't exactly stellar coming back from a knee reco last year.

hopefully sheens can get an nrl gig and he can sign him up asap, along with blair and benji.
would love to see what potter would do with a mil in cap space to work with.

Oh yeah!

Moltz posted a photo to Instagram this morning of himself and Mark Flanagan in Madrid… Not sure if it's current or an old photo. Maybe he's over in Europe checking out the ESL and French Rugby clubs...? As pointed out, he'd be a hard sell in the NRL

That was the most confusing paragraph I've ever read.

Why would the raiders or panthers be interested, they both have better players in all his potential positions.

And we will all know what this will mean dont we

Another player how we are paying half their contract for

Moltzen will be worth barely league minimum after 3 serious injuries

I have always been a fan of Moltzen and have to admit I have been so frustrated waiting for him to go to the next level and show week in week out consistency. Never really got that out of him. I thought he could have developed into a Todd Carney type player.

Really unfortunate timing for his injury as he wasn't playing well in any position and now out of sight for the NRL. Too many good juniors coming through in his position. If he wants a first grade spot I cant see it at the Tigers, although I wouldn't mind holding onto him at a state cup player price, purely for depth, but realistically the Tigers would like to free him up from the salary cap.

For his future, he really would have look at the ESL where he would probably go alright.

He fits right into the same basket at Dean Collis - plenty of potential interupted by injuries and will probably fade from memory in no time. Real shame.

He was bad enough coming back from his first knee reco, can't imagine what he'll be like after his second.

Last year?
- He did his knee in 2010….
YEP!! He's been that ordinary, That long....

You never know, miracles happen. Hope he does return and give us a stellar performance none of us expected. Another Benji mate, but hope he returns and do well. If he is a better fit at the dragons, well it works out for wveryone.

Sorry for the bad writing guys this is what I meant, A player from the starting side has told me Moltzen is on the outer. Penrith and Raiders are interested.. He is in England today so he may also be talking to a ESL side.

I think Moltzen has a tonne of talent and he might turn into a really good player. At the same time he really doesn't fit into our squad at all and we need to get rid of a bunch of players. Getting rid of Moltzen would be one movement in the right direction.
