Tim moltzen- put your body on the line or else!!!

Should be in the halves IMO. Teddy has deserved his chance, his 80 minutes. So why can't we give it to him? Our halves pairing is crying for a change and we have a suitable player in Moltzen to utilise.

Only problem with that is that our wingers will be lacking.

At the very least switch he and Tedesco around and keep them there

That's what I was thinking. Forget fullback for now but is there really much difference between Teddy and Moltz on the wing. Makes more sense to put one of them where they're comfy, rather than have both playing positions they are far from finished products in.

He got back to the tryline but was useless anyway…cooper strolled past.

Slow it down first, then rush back...stupid allowing a quick ptb

now you are being ultra critical, if you are looking that hard for errors you are not judging him fairly, he makes a good tackle in defense and rushes to get into position on the last for the kick, that is exactly what the coach would of wanted

No….it wasnt a good tackle, not slowing it down put the entire defense under pressure....it lead to a try - how the hell was that GOOD?????

Coaches dont want that...slow it down, support can see hes stranded if he cant get back.

Im not looking for errors, im watching the game....Im seeing them

Yes, he does good things, he gets raps for NOT screwing up....dozens of players do this every week, yet Moltz gets the maccas award.....he is a liabilty, he always has been

What's doing with his kick off's…........ He's good for putting one out on the full each week, basic mistakes that costs us dearly.

Hang on Joe youre not being fair there….he got at least three kick offs to stay in the field of play....youre just looking for errors

what a load of rubbish you carry on with, you don't like the bloke and have said so many times, no one's game is scrutinised like his is, have you posted on here about any other times a quick ptb was allowed, have you highlighted anyone not ready to run on a play, there was dozen s of each and is every week.

He's lifted though ink, and given our current injury crisis there's a definite spot open for much of the season for him. He's alright now, i hated him a while ago too but i've come around. goose is right, his game is scrutinised like no one elses. Is there a thread about BMM and his carelessness? Tedesco? no, but every week theres something new about moltz.

he's playing out of position. considering this, he is doing well. watch him break the line as a five eight or half. he would be maloney like. he has a kicking game too.

Not really out of position, he's been playing fullback for years, if he was out of position then why is he still there?

But you have a point, naturally he is a 5/8 from junior football and I have seen his kicking game and it's good. I would be up for seeing him play there next week alongside Anasta if he's fit, otherwise Sirro. But the thing is, last time he had a crack at halfback it didn't work out. Could easily be because of his pairing with Benji or the fact he was at halfback which could have a small impact on how he performed.

Even if he did succeed there, how long does it last for? Benji comes back, what does that mean? What about Anasta? Sironen? I think once Teddy is gifted the number 1, that's it, that's his to make his own. Which means what for Moltzen? He has a couple weeks to prove something so you'd think he would be giving it 200% every game.

Awwww

So what??

He's crap….and many agree

That doesn't really seem like the words of a supporter for me.
He obviously does enough to get picked almost every week by judges much better then us. He is one of our more experiences players and I think his form is very much on the back of the confidence of playing matches. Until you've done a knee and required a reconstruction you don't realize how much it can affect you. I've done one and its affected me a lot more then just sporting endeavors that's for sure. My physio's say you won't ever be 100% the same but it will be about two years until the strength is really back into it.
Tedesco seems to have recovered much better then Moltzen so don't try and use that against him. It's different for everyone and I feel Timmy is very much feeling the affects of confidence in his body.

I haven't seen Maloney drop a ball at dummy half or kick off the ball out on the full every second game or run sideways to avoid taking a hit but Yeah we are so lucky to have Moltzen his a real match winner.
Even better we have him locked up for another 3 years.

Please stop saying he has a kicking game. He does not. When has he ever shown this in first grade, ever? He hasn't. It is false.

Moltzen has been going ok this year and has been far from our worst back. But i feel Potter needs to make a decision to shift tedesco to fullback soon for the net benefit of the team.

It is quite simple we need the best player at fullback and that is Tedesco.I doubt if Moltzen is the best player in any position and i dont like carrying backs on the bench.Lawrence has not recovered from injury well but Simona looks to be a better player.

Damn straight. Anyone thinking Moltzen is the answer to our problems at halfback is kidding themselves. It will make things worse given he's got no kicking game or organisational skills.

We have seen him at halfback already and he was crap, subsequently he hasn't gone back. He plays half/5/8 like a fullback, support play and running holes. He has no kicking game and even LESS of a passing game. In fact he is simply a HOG and it is baffling to me that everyone keeps saying he is a half. Some people consider a half should pass the ball (well), kick and organise the attack, seemingly there are other people that think if you are small, fast and don't like getting tackled you are a half.
