Tim Moltzen

I'm not a big fan of Moltzen, never have been. I don't particularly like his attitude, his half-heartedness during matches or the way he carries himself on and off the field. However, I do believe that somewhere inside him there is a lot of talent and I think his form at the back end of 2011 showed us all what he is capable of when he is willing to play for the team. He has speed, timing in attack and his defence is decent as well - he just seems to lack commitment and motivation most of the time.

Under a new head coach, who is creating a different culture and who has made it crystal clear he will not put up with mediocrity, Moltzen will either sink or swim. If he continues to play like he usually does, he will sink. On the other hand, the new challenges might bring the best out of Moltzen, on the field, and hopefully cause him to grow up mentally, as well. It's up to him and I guess time will tell.

It's just a feeling, but I reckon that Anasta will be good for Moltzen.

I think he needs to become a player who will ''lead by example'' before offering advice to young rookies.

I think he has a way to go until he becomes this type of player.

this is my favourite Moltzen summary. but what if - its his knee, his mind…. he looks so small compared to benji in that pic.

Well Moltzen is ancient history if Potter is good to his word

No loss ,send him to Hull They are after a fullback

Was there something particular Potter mentioned about Moltzen? Or just something about all players in general?

Meaning that Potter won't carry any freeloaders LaT

Could be wrong but the way I see it, Sheens owed Moltzen after Mad Monday 2011 we did not have a no7 so Moltzen was convinced to let the club find a get out of jail card from his dragons deals. He comes back to the tigers,so Sheens chalks his name in the top 13 for the season and a contract extent ion.

Potter owes him nothing and like all other players will be judged on form and attitude. If he cuts the mustard he will be given a run

Here we go again….
Considering he continues to play what is considered one of the toughest sports after a knee recon and having to have a metal plate put in his head after it was caved in a by a wayward knee I doubt he is short of heart.
But I'll leave it to the keyboard warriors , who put their health on the line every week , to their own opinions.

I heartily agree with cktiger. I know that Moltzen has stated that he would like to play at fullback but I personally believe that his future at least for the start of 2013 belongs as an interchange where he can play anywhere from wing to lock. Be fair and give him a chance. Why be so critical of Moltzen when a player such as Blair is so much more worthy of it.

well said newtown blair on a motza was by far our worst achiever in fact he was the worst buy in the game considering the amount we payed.
