great win today ,,, but yet he again he showed he is only a halve ,,,,,lui has well and truly overtaken him ( good vision southern tiger ) and he will never get benjis position …. he had 3 chances to put his winger away today and blew all 3 ... it was only the rhinos great strength that got him over the line of moltzs pass

He is not a centre or fullback, simple as that.

He is a half or five eighth and he is well behind both Benji and Lui

I can't see where he is going to play when we have a fill strength side, unless it is off the bench.

Moltzen blew 2 sure tries today,he is not a centre,he is not a fullbacks behind,he is a half or reserve grade for mine.

Lol you have to give them something to complain about kul.Its either him or sheens.

I would go with what sheens thinks he knows his footy better then anyone in the game.

If we let him go i could imagine what would be said.

I personally believe Moltzen is the pefect #14 when Lawrence is back. He covers so many positions very well, but is probably second best in our roster across most of them. He covers basically every position in the back-line which is a great asset in its own right. At full strength i would be saying:

1\. McKinnon
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Utai/Brown
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui

14\. Moltzen

With Lawrence and Tuqiri both fit, I can only see Moltzen in the 14 jersey at this stage. It's not a bad position for the Tigers to be in and it shows the depth they have when at full strength.

Who is them?

Don't think anyone is complaining, just making an observation on Moltzen which is hard to disagree with. Not a fullback, not a centre. Can't see any spot for him except utility which in our side barring and injury during the game is 5 minutes at the end.

I wonder what the plan is for Tim. In previous seasons he has shown he has talent, but I cannot see him getting a start in our best seventeen.
At the moment, he is not being helped by playing a different position every week, as he tries to get back into condition. Maybe, he should be dropped to NSW Cup, so he plays plenty of minutes in the position he is being groomed for.

I think we need to give him a few more weeks to adapt to playing centre. He defended ok, had a few runs and while he needs to work out when to set up his outside man, his biggest challenge at centre will be learning Hole Running…

Moltz is not consigned to the scrap heap just yet IMO,

He needs a spot to call his own and grow into over a few weeks.

I hope he finds a temp home here at Centre as it will be ages before Chris Lawrence is back it seems

All about confidence,

He stilll missed a few tackles against raiders and blew a try but give him a few weeks to adapt to playing to centre position He will be the 14 when we are at full strength

We won 49 - 12 yesterday and we have a thread bagging a player.
the bloke is only 8 weeks back from a full knee reconstruction. Have any of you dribblers ever had a knee recon? let alone then played top level footy after having one. As the big marn would say "I'm outraged".

When we play Souths next I would move Moltzen to the bench and put Fulton at centre to mark
Inglis and Taylor.

Moltzen will be number 14 once Lawrence and Lote are back.

He wasn't diabolical today.

It will take a little time to get used to playing centre again. He was seen standing around alot like a half would at times rather than being in motion etc. He will improve though as he has been good at centre for us in the past.

The important thing today showed is why Ayshford should never have been moved from the right flank. The defensive combination over that side works well together
