Tim Sheens is proceeding with legal action

yep,get it over and done with and everyone moves on.

I wonder whether tim is bitter or it is just business.

holding onto to grudges at sheens age isn't good for you general health.

What a total failure this all is.

Sheens is the coach that bought the only premiership to the club and what a special one that was and he introduced that X factor that gave us our playing identity and cult following. I guess he is a life member too and under his guide we never finished below mid table. Then he releases Gibbs,Fifita etc and its all down hill and now we are talked about as cellar dwellers.

And with our money problems now this.

WT should sue Humphreys for re-signing him at start of 2012 then dumping him at start of 2013

You're a bit off. They signed him at the start of 2011 and sacked him at the end of 2012.

Is there ANY chance of mediation being used to resolve this? People have gone into mediation as a result of going to court haven't they?

Mayer is throwing good money after bad …. At best it's a gamble and we can't afford to gamble. Just imagine if we do lose how many jersey sales and how many memberships would it take to pay the legal costs for both Tim and the club ... Did they ever think of it that way ?

Why don't you drop by the club and offer Mayer your worldly advice Knuckles. Problem solved.

It will settle before the hearing. Statistics say around 90% of legal proceedings settle. I would be surprised if this doesnt setttle with or without mediation. It is a question of timing.

90% ???
Is that a fact ???

Anyway, I hope you're right and it does settle sooner rather than later. The time management are spending on this they could be putting to much better use elsewhere.

This is where the "I'll stand down if we miss the finals" came from.

No wonder I didnt recall it….DTs 'sources' about as reliable as Proton Utes

From memory that is roughly the percentage. Many settle in the days before trial. Many matters even settle during a trial.

Early settlements are hard to achieve because the parties havent yet seen each others evidence. Also clients tend to be more "principled" early on before they have incurred significant costs. Clients start to get more pragmatic once they have chewed though 100k or so.
