I think the board is behind him. Tim gets a blessed run in the media given his results. Any other coach would have been under pressure and more than likely sacked at the end of the 2009 season after missing the semis 4 years in a row.

Seriously he is a good coach but has been at the one place too long. I think our players are too complancent and can only benefit from a new coach.

No but the coach sets the defensive patterns and strategies. Either what he's doing at training doesn't work or the players dont listen to him. I think we are in desperate need of a breath of fresh air right through the entire coaching ranks.

So perhaps a new defensive coach is what is needed??

I'm not saying sheens stay or go, but if he walks we need a great coach not a no body.
And I just can't think of a decent coach who is not contracted already.

Ricky Stuart and Chris Anderson were the last two Australian coaches. It's not that big of a deal. Hasler, Bellamy etc don't want it. Sheens isn't in that job because he's great….he's there because of longevity and having mates like John Chalk push his case.

Potter, Tony Smith....both have similar credientials to McGuire.

We need a change.
 
Tony Smith would be okay. The assistant coach at the Knights would be ok. I think Jim Dymock would be okay. Look at Mauaire from Souths, he did well in the English league, maybe even Nathan Brown is worth a shot. I even think Daniel Anderson is a good coach. Plently of options and plently of people wanting an opportunity. I think there are many assistant coaches out there that can do well.

To be honest all the above may be worse coaches than Tim Sheens but they could come in with new ideas and do well.

I would even try to poach Flanagan from the Sharkies.

Anyone in my opinion other than Brian Smith would be an improvement over Tim Sheens going forward.
 
or be prepared to put up with his mediocracy.
Simple as that , yes it is Sheens fault our roster isnt strong and OUR team has played STALE for years .
Lets see all the Sheens lovers come in with the usual who is better than him answers .

Tony Smith, Mick Potter…....the next Mick McGuire is waiting out there if we get it right. There's a lot of young, innovative, coaches who are hungry.

It won't happen though. He won't be sacked and the bloke simply won't quit.

Hell, he even drove Steve Folkes out of town as he percieved him as a threat (and look at how our defense,toughness and fitness has suffered...)

Sheens is a good coach. But you can't deny he has become stale as has the team and team selections have been harder to figure out than Chinese algebra. You look at the coaching staff and it's like a boys club. Skando, Payten, Cupples. I think this is our downfall. We need staff that aren't mates with the playing roster who can be firm with players. The Wests Tigers have slowly become the Tim Sheens social club.

All this crap people go on about with who would we replace him with need a reality check. Why do we need someone with a big reputation? whats wrong with taking a chance on a first yr coach? I don't think Souths fans would be complaining. No need to carry on like spoilt brats demanding a big name and if that name isn't available not wanting anyone

Or we could end up in the 4 like Souths. After 10 seasons and only 3 finals appearences, its a risk im willing to take
