Tim Sheens

Followed the Tigers now Wests Tigers for more years than I care to remember
Don't have a great deal of knowledge about League, Don't know much about tactics, game plans or team selection, but I figure neither does Tim Sheens so I might as well apply for the Coaches position with Mr. Bean as my Assistant.

I'm not knocking Sheen

I think he has been great for the club

Took us from nothing to a consistently high performing team - until this year

We don't appear to have any structure in defence and this year the attack hasn't covered that deficiency

Something needs to change IMO

I don't often get involved in these "Threads"…..but I feel it's time to find a new Coach and inject some new ideas in the Club.

Sheens has become too comfortable with the Players and it appears he can no longer get the results.

I said at the start of the Season, that if we didn't make the Finals, then he should resign.....I feel the time has now come to inject some new life .

How long is he signed until? End of 2013?

He was great in getting us a premiership but he has been stale for a while now. We need fresh ideas. Too bad if it hurts Benji, we have been hurting for years.

Yep sack sheens cause there are so many better options out there.

The coach doesn't miss tackles!!

But continually picks players who do. 3 Semis In 9 seasons ain't that flash a record mate.

You all want to sack sheens but no one can come out with a better option!!

Who do we get?? Every was spitting chips when rumours surfaced of Ricky Stewart coming.

If these players don't listen to the Australian coach then highly doubt they're going to listen to some rookie coach.

So because no one here, all fans, no recruitment officiers…can answer your question....we continue with the crud we have?
OPEN YOUR EYES!!

This garbage sprouted that there is no one better than sheens is garbage....we need a change, its really that simple....doesnt need to be better, just different...what we do doesnt work, it wont change overnight...its a cultural thing here...it will take seasons.

dont mind this guy as our coach, better than what we have currently tbh

Anyone.

Daniel Anderson, Brian Smith, John Lang, Matt Elliot.

SERIOUSLY anyone who will have a fresh outlook on the side and change their style of play and dynamic.

I guess only supercoach Bennett could have extracted a win against Souths, especially when we had more players wearing twenty-something on their back than anything 1-13\. Injuries have killed us from game one.

I expect if I ring the WT office tomorrow, then they will confirm a heap of coaching applications from members of this forum who apparently could do better.

From where I sat today, the south fans were dirty on their team because the score should have been much higher. They had all the refs calls, all the 50-50's, the rub of the green all day, and they played a team massacred with injuries and filled with young kids, park footballers and a few regulars. Whilst they never looked like losing, it was only the heart and effort from our guys that stopped a 60 nil whitewash.

I guess with another coach though, all the injured players would have miraculously recovered today and played, and there wouldnt have been any injuries against the cowboys, and Lote wouldnt have a busted arm, and Tedesco would be right, and Moltzen would be fit, and Gareth wouldnt have missed all them games etc etc etc.

Maybe the "club"/Sheens has become complacent. Maybe it is time for a change of coach, didn't think I'd ever say this, as I like Tim Sheens, but we can't always blame injuries for our losses. Good Luck for the rest of the season.

I would put money on it that there would be at least 6 forum members who could do a better job, hell, just picking players on form and in position would go along way to fixing this mess. :bash

Boy oh boy, time to get those rose coloured glasses off my friend. Shocking performance. The team had no chance when the great coach changed the world's best hooker to halfback.

It's not that he has not done this stupid thing before. It did not work then and it did not work today. It will never work.

When a coach continues with crazy selections with nil result, he must go. If any of the players kick up a stink about it, then they can go as well. I am sick to death of the team selections and the coach and the gutless Board.

The Eels moved on Kearney.

Why doesn't our board move on Sheens?

Sheens should never of been extended…this is a mistake that will be long talked about,it's all is going to end ugly ..my predition the Tigers looking at the bottom end of the table next season .We have not even signed anyone like a 1/2 back for next year...tell me what footy team doesn't have a 1/2 back am I really missing something?

A few regulars?
Ryan, Utai, Ayshford, Farah, Marshall, Woods, Blair, Heighno, Fulton, Bell, Ellis - Try 11 who are always in the side.

Iosefa, Humble, Cashmere, Moors - 4 who are there often…at least two of these always play.

Simona , Koribete - Two who aren't often, but Koribete should be there full-time.

A team with 15 players who have a lot of first grade this year should not be dominated like that. The forward pack we started with was close to full strength (Accept for galloway), and yet we were down 20-0 in there first stint. By the time the "reserve grade" subs came on the game was gone. Our front line couldn't get the job done.

I think Steve Folkes should get a mention.
Tim Sheens was scare of him ….. He could teach them to tackle.

Note that Souths have a very similar side this year to what they had last year (with the exception of Reynolds for Sandow notably)

The big difference is the coach. He has turned an under achieving squad into a dominant force.

Ditto Hasler at the Dogs.

Sheens has turned us into the exact opposite.
