Tim Sheens

It's got to be a guy with a decent track record. Someone that has no attachment to our current roster so he can be ruthless in cutting players. We have a off season to rebuild and the club internal enquiry should start now.

The coach is responsible for defensive coaching. The coach is responsible for structure. That is equally, if not more important than tackling. He doesn't make his players tackle at training and it shows during the games.
 
If sheens was the coach of a south American soccer team he'd been hung/ drawn & quarted by now ! He has to GO .

I think it would be a sad day when you get Sheens the sack. My concern is that we would get someone who would be worse then Sheens cause we haven't got a real great record of picking a great coach have we. Wayne Pearce was a shocker, Terry Lamb well let's not go there, maybe we should stay clear of former players. what do you people think???
 
Time to stop building a team around benji , I would even go as far and say sell him off , gets some $$& and buy smart. While at it get a refund for Blair, and a new coach. You can't be pre season favorites and not make the 8, 2005 was 7 yrs ago we have lived with that tag long enough time to shine .

Tony Smith, Mick Potter…....the next Mick McGuire is waiting out there if we get it right. There's a lot of young, innovative, coaches who are hungry.

It won't happen though. He won't be sacked and the bloke simply won't quit.

Hell, he even drove Steve Folkes out of town as he percieved him as a threat (and look at how our defense,toughness and fitness has suffered...)

But its ok to go on like a spoilt brat and demand his sacking right AFTER A FEW LOSSES…we have run in the top 4 the last 2 seasons....the season is NOT over yet...the other master coach Bennett on a million a year is on the same amount of points....maybe Newcastle should punt him.

I say he stays until hes contract runs out and see where we are at then.

Even allowing for all the injuries this year the Tigers have been very poor & have not
played to the best of their ability.
Sheens has to go but has two more years left in his contract so there will have to be a compromise & a payout for Sheens to agree to leave early.
Tigers should chase Craig Bellamy who is free in 2014.
Fingers crossed CEO Stephen Humphreys already has a post-Sheens plan :question:
 
If you dont make changes then nothing will change.

Time Sheens has won one Grand Final and made the top 4 twice. On all 3 occasions we did this on the back of late season surges. Not once in his entire time here have we had a consistent, professional and ruthless football team, not once.

If we dont have a ruthless coach, then why the bloody hell couldnt we have a ruthless board to free us from this underperforming guy?? Someone has to take a stand and make the tough call. I dont care if players leave with Sheens, let them go.

Sitting there today watching us look soft in defence, a rabble in attack…while watching a team i hate look soooo professional killed me. Everyone for Souths new what there role was. Sheens has our attack all over the place, no one being confident in knowing what to do and when to do it. Players shifting positions, carrying out of form players, lack of structure and confidence in defence............Its the coaches job to build all these things within a club......can any Sheens supporters honestly say they believe he is doing this??
