Tim Sheens

Fifita has been far from crap but to compare him to Bell is a tad unfair. Bell has been getting about 18 minutes a game and still has more tackles. If Bell had the same amount of on field minutes I dare say his stats would be comparable.

In saying that I am definitely finding myself wishing we hadn't let him go.

Beat me to it. I'd be interested to see the comparison in minutes played. Bell did get quite a bit of game time when Heighington was out so I'd suspect they'd be on par for minutes played which suggests Bell's workload on the ball has been a tad lacking compared to Fifita.

Nonetheless, Bell is still a good player and should be in prop rotation tightening up the defence in the middle.

It is no surprise that they punched holes through our defensive line whilst Bell was on the bench! Blair and Rhino cannot control the middle. Bell has to start.

Bring back Royce!

Oh God no, our defence was just as bad when Roycie was in charge, but our attack was so damn good back then that it hid our defensive deficiencies. Bring back Folkes, I say!

Agree. Defence has been crap year on year apart from when folkes was with us

Sheens came up with a game plan and structure that was phenomonal.

Credit where it is due.

To blame the coach or his deputies for individual errors in reads in defence is ludicrous.

So what we do well is all sheens genius and all our flaws are individual errors?

Our defensive structure for 50 minutes was abysmal. It was hard to fully judge it for the last 30 minutes as Parra hardly touched the ball and when they did they stuffed up every time.

Coaching group must work on this. That win last night was completely due to our improved attack with Benji running the ball whilst creating space and the fact Parra cant tackle.

If they were one off mistakes Dimitri then sure no problems. But we've been making the same defensive mistakes all year. At what point is the coach not responsible for our consistent defensive lapses whether they be a team effort or individual errors?

Some of the tackle attempts in the first half hour weren't bad they were plain embarrassing.

If we had been playing a stronger team I fear we would have been blown off the park.

it is no use,he is one of the Sheens lovers,Tim can do no wrong, how Sheens couldn't get them up for the start of the game is beyond me,I mean outright 8th spot on the line,Beau's 100th game and a decent crowd for a monday night, yet they came out and played like they didn't care, that my friend rests squarely on the coach.

This is my concern with the express demand that Sheens is to blame… Why does Sheens need to get the Players up for a start of the game? They are professional ATHLETES and should cope the blame for not getting themselves up... Its not Under 15's.

Point the finger at Sheens for Development; Game Plans; Team Selections etc, but the Players are also accountable for NOT putting in over the past few weeks!!!

We were ball watching in the first half. Parra played razzle dazzle and completed 11/11.

Fair go. We corrected the errors.

2 points in the bag. Move on.

If we never see those errors again, I'd have no issues.

But we all know we will. Defense has long been a huge problem and it's never been corrected.

Nothing has changed and nothing will change, any side with a few big robust players will cause havoc and thats why we will never beat Souths,Dogs, Many and probably to a lesser extent the Chooks Our defensive structures are not in place and a lot of our players just dont have the defensive attitude that is required. The good sides would have scored as many points or more than the Eels last night but would stopped most of our points.

I dont know who is to blame for our sub standard defense but I know where the buck should stop

This is why he needs to go:

http://www.weststigers.com.au/news-display/Teams-attitude-impresses-coach/61362

Down 22-6 against the bottom ranked side after 20 minutes and he's impressed. Come on. Stop sticking up for the players and not demanding any accountability. It's becoming a joke. Like another forumer said in another post, the headline from Moltzen's new contract article about it 'taking the pressure off' just sums up this team perfectly at the moment.

He uhhh said he was happy with the comeback mate. Having trouble understanding?

In saying that though I do want him to gooooooooooo.
