Why is it so absurd….Everyone has a price....Bennett would go ok here don't you think.....

Yep, totally agree with you on that one. As you say "throw everything at him, even the kitchen sink." He's by far the best coach in the game and one of the best ever, he turns fringe first graders into quality players, players want to play for him and his results speaks for themselves. Look at what he did for the Dragons in only one year, got rid of a few nuffies, made some intelligent buys and voila.. they're top of the table.. truly amazing.

I cant see Bennett leaving the Dragons anytime soon unless… the Titans gig became available,so he cld be with his family again.That wld take Cartwright moving on for big $$$ elsewhere..he has done a pretty good job with the Titans,& just may be the next best coach after Bennett,Bellamy & possibly Smith in someones eyesSouths,Sharks,Eels,Warriors,& maybe even us??).
The other possibilty is that all may be forgiven between Bennett & the Broncos...they certainly need him..but probably too many egos involved for that to happen.
Either way,we wont get him.
As for Sheens,the sudden recent elevation of his PR profile in all liklihood signals his availabilty to the marketplace post 2010.He recognises that barring a minor miracle this season in reaching the 8 & making an impact,his successor for 2011 will have been locked in well before the start of next season,which is the way things work these days,& he needs to do the same..

I could see Bennett walking out on the saints. He walked out on a contract with the raiders and reneged on a deal with the chooks.

Reality check. There would be at least 12 NRL clubs willing to pay whatever it takes to get Bennett. Same deal as signing Thurston or Inglis.
We are far from the richest club in the NRL, so how do you suggest we outbid the other NRL clubs?

Hey weststigerman....the Dragons did it......Who did they get rid of....Ryles....Poore...but look at the players lining up to play for the Dragons for less...He gets players he knows how to get the best out of...that might not all be superstar at the begining....Oh and he seems to have an excellent Injury and rehab record...it helps....

The only thing I'm hear against the idea is ...We are Wests Tigers or He won't come here...Stuff that people talk about how useless we are as a club on and off the field....Prove me wrong Wests Tigers.....

I'm not saying he won't come here because we're the wests tigers. It'd be the same for any club. He had a good relationship with Doust and genuinely wanted to coach the dragons.
I'd definitely try to get Bennett, but if he says no, then look at Bellamy or Gould. If they're not interested stick with Sheens.
