Tim Simona re-signs

Glad he is staying but would like to know what he is on. How many players do we have with options in their favour? Moses, Brooks, Lawrence, Simona. Anyone else?

We can only assume that all contracts signed under the previous management were overvalued and back-ended, including those with extensions in the player's favour. Given how hard teams like the Sharks were chasing him i'd guess he's on maybe 400k. The extension could even be for somewhere around 450.

He's a good player but we've rarely got full value from his thus far. He needs to score more (but it would help if he got passed the ball more).

It wouldn't be that much, the Sharks were after him but they spend big on their forward pack and spine rather than their outside backs. They wouldn't have been offering $350K plus for a centre/winger when they had juniors like Feki, Gagan, Holmes and Leutele on their books at the time.

Definitely a fan, so great news! Underrated player and really adds something to the side. We look a lot more threatening with him in our lineup.

I think that Simona has a bit of a Matt Cooper in him. Strong runner, under-utilized speed, doesn't commit too many errors, very solid tackler.
Very happy .

But we need to get a fast winger outside him and a few more plays going his way to get the most out of the deal.

I wonder where we could find a fast winger, ohh that is right we have one, and Melbourne notice him more than our coach, we will just stick with a slow poke guy playing out of position though. :crazy

You do know he is on the injured list? Bit hard to play him if he is injured.

He was noticed in the Melbourne game and the he is injured.

Yeh I do know he is injured mate, but the fact we have played all 9 games with a slow guy playing out of position on the left wing really doesn't sit well with me.
