Time For a home.

I am tired of my club not having a home ground ,it is 15years since the merger and the club still has 3 home grounds which is madness.
The club is never going to move forward until this happens they are just nomads of the NRL,the board and all stake holders have to finally make the decision to put down roots somewhere . What ever the decision someone will be effected even myself but reality is the club has to make that choice to secure the future and I for one will go where ever that is except Perth!

The ideal situation would be a 35,000-45,000 seater in Liverpool. Permanent presence in the South-West where the game has no real saturation. The area is there for us to own.

The Wanderers could get behind it too and there would be a tenant all year round. Maybe hold a Souths or Easts v Tigers game at Leichhardt for old times sake (draw permitting,) but that would be it.

ANZ is good for a short term solution, they provide revenue for the club and given that we've signed a 10 year deal there I can only assume that it's certainly more profitable for the club to play at Homebush than either Leichhardt or Campbelltown.

We haven't got the cash flow as some of the other Clubs have in having the luxury of playing 4 games here 4 games there. By doing this we are really starving our Club of much needed funds.
By our recent turnouts at our Leichhardt and Cambelltown games we have actually lost money.
Agree we need one venue and at the moment ANZ seems our best option in terms of $$$$.

I agree we do need a home but you cant ignore the history of our club. Regardless of where that home may be you need to have 2 Campbelltown and 2 Leichhardt games per annum. Liverpool would be great as it is central and in the hub of the growth areas and would attract sponsorship from South west business and broaden our supporter base. Then again I am totally bias as I am from the area.

You don't need 2 games at CSS or LO.

If you have a full time home at Liverpool, you've nailed yourself in the middle of South West Sydney. There would be little need to play at Campbelltown, although we could use it as a full time training facility and Leichhardt could be home to one game a year, and even then I wouldn't be too upset if we didn't play one there any more. The council have bled Balmain dry for years and the demographic is changing to one where they care little for the game. Leichhardt council doesn't deserve the Tigers. No wonder our identity is so messed up when we play in three different areas, have 6,000 jerseys and a quarrelling supporter base.

A full time home in Liverpool and a steady jersey design that we "own" much the way St. George and Souths own their traditional strips will go a long way in forging a Wests Tigers identity, rather than being seen as an extension of Balmain or Wests.

Relocate to Rockhampton and you'll have a guaranteed crowd of 1.

As much as I love watching the WT at LO, if the Governments don't redevelop it, then its fate is sealed..

I could live with 6 at CSS and 6 at ANZ….

Purpose built stadium in Liverpool for me. The southwest is the largest growing area in Sydney. This cannot be ignored but probably will.

Liverpool would be great for me.. Can't see it happening for years though…

We need to consolidate now...I would be happy to see us move to ANZ and have 1 'Heritage game' (Broncos) at CSS and 1 (Cowboys) at LO,,,

i dont agree with making a new stadium. there is ANZ, SFS, penrith, parra, CSS, remondis, kogarah- all so nice and close to sydney. we are averaging less than 10K (all clubs included maybe?) and we wanna make another stadium?

surely, the govt cant fork out millions on a new RL or soccer stadium. there are two soccer teams in Sydney and both already have a stadium.

Im down with Liverpool also.

But. . . .

A couple of other options that might be better than ANZ could be a share ground scenario with Parra and the Wanderers at a redeveloped 30/40k neutral sponsored Parra stadium.

Or a move up to Gosford which will still see plenty of away games in Sydney. This would need to be done with a lifetime assurance of free busses for members and fans from say Liverpool transit to Gosford.

The relocation would also need to come with a massive pay off from the NRL.

LIverpool…..may as well be Perth.

Simon,Liverpool does make appeal to a lot of people because of the geography, also I live in the Southern Highlands of NSW,about an hours drive to Campbelltown, most of my Tigers supporter friends that live out here as well as the smaller villages within our area all are pleased to make the trip to CSS to watch a game…Liverpool would be ok as well...the trips to the inner city are harder for them....just saying, seeing we need more people at games..

It's only recently that I've warmed to Liverpool, which is odd considering I live here. I always preferred Cambo, but Livo is much more central, so probably a better option, and a large majority of supporters seem to be behind it. We're talking 10 yrs away though, we'd need something in the meantime so ANZ is probably the winner.
