We need to get rid of Farah, he's a lemon. Raiders need a hooker, we can trade him for Dugan and Learoyd-Lahrs.

LOL

OMG

LOL

Joke of the year. Seriously though, good one.

Why bother only reporting half the story when all the manoeuvring by the club possibly hasn't been completed?

If it is released the likes of Moltzen, Ryan, Heighington et al are actually leaving, this forum will go into meltdown and demand more answers as to why they're leaving and then we're back at square one.

If we loose the players that are said to be going that means Gibbs, Fifita, Flanagan, Payten, Moltzen, Ryan, Daniela, & Moors, that frees up a fair bit of money over a Million Dollars. There must be a plan in place for next year & i dont just mean Blair & i think Rhino will stay with the doubt over Dwyers injury.

Thanks Ink I must have forgot to read the bit in my membership pack where they said they would give me as a member advanced knowledge of player signings before they announce them or have even signed them - lucky you picked that up. I mean what kind of business doesen't tell its customers about their product before they even know themselves exactly what it is .

When has had something to announce like Gibbs and Fifita it has announced it. They have said that some players were given permission to negotiate and that they are looking for a bigger team next year and have been planning for that through juniors. They have been clear that they are doing what they are employed to do.

The club has turned from a laughing stock in 03 to one of the powerhouse of the league, we have great crowds , great sponsorship and a great reputation, memberships are up and last year we came 3rd and this year we are 7th despite the worst injury toll I can remember

Lastly to be honest - this is the most exciting part of the season that not knowing , the expectation the rumors - absolutely love it.

The NRL is a business. This is the bottom line and the club must be run like a business.

What they owe the supporters is not an explanation as to recruitments that are yet to happen or the direction they are looking but to turn up every week, play like professionals and put in an optimum performance.

Agree. People demanding answers from the club in regards to recruitment are simply deluding themselves from the fact that it's a business and confidentiality is just one consideration when it comes to player recruitment/retention.

Yeah too bad I couldnt find the bit that mentioned they were sacrificing this season as well to get their books in order, get under the cap

I only have one contact who has worked with Wests Tigers and Balmain Ryde since day 1\. Some of the players are filthy. There are a lot of grumblings. Whether it is sour grapes or whether their grumbings are justified is hard to say at this stage. He wouldn't go into it but camp concord is in a degree of turmoil I would say.

What I have found stunning is that last year we were 1 point from a probable premiership, we were pre season favourites and then all of a sudden a mass clear out seems be engineered. Its quite confusing and there has to be more to it. It has to be a complete salary cap shambles, or sheens has put his foot down and we are moving heaven and earth for 2 or 3 big names.

Either way something is going down, and if we miss the 8 this year heads should roll. What the players need to do is realise by pulling together and making a charge then they are proving their point in a way. By continuing to put up average performances it just makes them look like whingers and egos if they have gripes with the club about being shown the door.

The opportunity is still there to win the comp this year, but in our current head space its very difficult to see that coming close to happening.

Things have improved 10fold since 2003\. Crowds and sponsorship and media sure were close to the best in Sydney in that regard. However we cannot be classified as a powerhouse of the league until we consistently make semi finals consistently. Underachievers rather than powerhouses currently.

Other than being a smartarse, I'm not sure what the point you're trying to get across with that statement.

I never stated that this forum is used to gauge fan response for the club. If they do, I'm not surprised that they don't release information. I use this forum as an example to illustrate the point that releasing only a portion of the information doesn't answer anything, it only leads to more questions without the whole story.

For example, WT have confirmed Gibbs and Fifita are leaving, and what has that achieved? Routine speculation about other squad members being asked to look elsewhere or asking to leave and us being rumoured to be linked to every player in the NRL that's off contract of apparently not happy where they are. That news worked wonders for everyone, didn't it?

I want our club to be competitive and if that means the club keeps everyone in the dark until which point they are at a point to clearly explain what happens next that's fine. You're free to continue to be sceptical because the club doesn't explain themselves when you demand it… :unamused:

When do we think we will see any announcements? It's been dragging on and the June 30 deadline for new signings has well passed.

Grow the hell up mate.
Who's demanding!?!?!?
Read what I wrote…Im sick of ppl putting words in others mouths.

It would be nice to hear something, even some spin from the club,

"It would be nice to hear something, even some spin from the club, many rumours, some players already gone that were signed, equals ??????'s & many many many fans arent happy and if theyre happy to take our money and have us as members then we should be made aware of what the hell's going on.
Im sick of it tbh and theyve lost me as a 'member'….im sure Im not alone."

You're demanding that as member you should be duly informed by the club of their wheelings and dealings.

If that's meant to be interpreted in any other way please point it out.

Ink they cant disclose anything thats not finalised can they and why would you want them to feed us BS info.

Just wait and see what happens.

Injuries, internal turmoil and just plain crap form has sunk our season, we might jag 8th or 7th place but thats the very best we can hope for. So maybe Sheens and his team are right, a massive clean out is over due. From where I sit their is a fine line between the penthouse and the cellar, it dosnt take much to steer the ship either way and at present we are heading down. Its now up to the big names put egg on Sheen's face and turn the season around. My guess is it will not happen, the players who are capable of turning the year around have pulled up stumps. Its all about attitude and at present we have none

The club needs to be professional and make announcments only when they have been signed off and given the nod by the NRL otherwise they will look to be a laughing stock and we don't need that. IMO wait like Tiger4ever says.
In relation to the senior players, it is also time for them to step up and support the club by showing some leadership and displying their true abilities on the pitch!

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

People get on here demanding a change in players, then when the club does something about our playing roster all he'll breaks out.
...
We don't see what goes on behind the scenes, for all we know the club has been open and honest with the players - who are we to judge???
...
How about we just watch tonight's game and cheer the team on?
...
Another silly idea, next year, regardless who puts the tigers jersey on, we cheer the team on as well?
...
I know, a strange and confusing proposition.
