Reality is we've been churning out the same garbage for 20 years now. Coaches, boards and players have been turned over but nothing has changed. If we want to be honest with ourselves we're probably the prime candidate for relocation. Pack them up, ship them to Perth and start again.

I think the reason why Moses has grown a leg at Parra and Brooks has plateaued isn’t because one is the better player. I reckon a lot of it has to do with the system at this club. If Brooks moved to a strong club, he’d be flying.

I disagree Brooks just has not got it ..he looks like a lost dog on the paddock no flair no initiative no idea .
, as much I dislike Moses he is twice the footballer Brooks is .

It’s more about personality imo

Painful...but I was not as angry as I expected, you could see it coming.

Maybe we all need to start being honest about the team?

Brooks and Benji = a long, long, long established history of not closing out games. Repeat sets and 7 tackle sets gifted today. Almost a masterclass in how to lose a lead. Why will they ever change? There is nothing to suggest Brooksy will ever learn how to close out a game. It has been a long time. He is not a kid.

The wingers...crucial mistakes yet again when under pressure. No other teams has a pair who give the opposition so many gifts. This, again, has been happening for years. This is not a surprise at this point.

The pack...once the opposition gets vocal and starts hunting as a pack and back slapping each other, no one in our pack 'ever' takes it up at that moment. No one grins and says "boys, follow me". Once a pack dominates us, we always go missing. We have a lot of guys who can post nice stats sometimes, but no one who says.

Goal kicking...again, easy pot shots missed.

Reality = today we played a team who had not won for a year /had half of them playing almost their first real mins all season / and we had big leads twice.

You just can't lose these games, but we have made an art form of it.

This is not meant to sound negative. It is meant for us to maybe all be honest and sit down and work out what we need.

**We need halves with real IQ (at least one)**...

****We need a pack leader...****someone who barks at the others and wants the dirty hit up.

And we need a goal kicker.

And we need much better wingers.

Being honest, can anyone really disagree?

Benji kicked the field goal that should of been the winner. Can't blame him for not closing out the game IMO.

The aimless bombs? The 7 tackle sets? The "throw it to Nofa" final play tactics? Yeah, we can blame him IMO. The final set plays from both our halves cost us the game as it took all the pressure off the GC.

I’m starting to loose faith in Brooks
Many people on here have said the same thing and I always thought he would come good and he might?!?but when? I honestly can’t think of a time when he closed a game out.all the talent is there,he worked on his defence and became one of the better defensive halves.i just don’t think he backs himself to make certain plays in attack.
He also has no idea how to apply pressure.
I sound like broken record but man that was hard to watch.just same old really

I am a big Brooksy fan..........so, this is painful...

But it has happened way, way, way too many times to mount a case for him anymore.

He looks great in broken play...but closing sets? TERRIBLE. Building pressure? TERRIBLE. Steering a team home when in front? TERRIBLE.

It has been too long now to argue anything other. Maybe he is a running 6, but he is not a game closing 7.

Some of the 5th tackle options were terrible tonight. Somehow 2 of them ended up in tries. That demonstrates how putrid our attack is generally.

All they had to do was build pressure...basic stuff.

The aimless high balls that got the Titans 7 tackles were unforgivable.

I dunno. We were up by a point with 2 minutes to go but somehow surprised by the short kick off.

This team would be a very different beast with a quality 1/2 that had the hard drive will to win !
Brooks needs to be shopped I have been saying it for years ..the guy just does not have that quality not his fault !

He put us in front with 2 mins to go. Can't lay the blame solely at his feet that we can't manage to defend for 6 tackles to wrap the game up.
Benji wasn't great tonight but reality is he kicked the field goal when it was needed, it should of sealed the win.

I’m going to admit straight away I haven’t read all of these replies but I’ll give me take anyway:

Footy is not that hard. From juniors to NRL some of the basics are hard and fast rules. The one we have seemed to not grasp for 20 years is. If you are in trouble make the opposition run the ball out from a corner. How this works in reality is when you are struggling kick the ball along the ground into a corner. Footnote if you think you are close enough to bomb it you are wrong just get the ball into the corner.
