Reality is we've been churning out the same garbage for 20 years now. Coaches, boards and players have been turned over but nothing has changed. If we want to be honest with ourselves we're probably the prime candidate for relocation. Pack them up, ship them to Perth and start again.

I think the reason why Moses has grown a leg at Parra and Brooks has plateaued isn’t because one is the better player. I reckon a lot of it has to do with the system at this club. If Brooks moved to a strong club, he’d be flying.

I disagree Brooks just has not got it ..he looks like a lost dog on the paddock no flair no initiative no idea .
, as much I dislike Moses he is twice the footballer Brooks is .

I am a big Brooksy fan..........so, this is painful...

But it has happened way, way, way too many times to mount a case for him anymore.

He looks great in broken play...but closing sets? TERRIBLE. Building pressure? TERRIBLE. Steering a team home when in front? TERRIBLE.

It has been too long now to argue anything other. Maybe he is a running 6, but he is not a game closing 7.

I dunno. We were up by a point with 2 minutes to go but somehow surprised by the short kick off.

Yoss, we were up by double figures twice...against a QLD state cup team mixed in with some out of form vets. Half their team had not even played full mins all season. There are no excuses today. None.

I want to make some excuses and cling to hope...

But there are none.

This was bad...

Some of the 5th tackle options were terrible tonight. Somehow 2 of them ended up in tries. That demonstrates how putrid our attack is generally.

Disgusting last tackle option taken on every occasion

This team would be a very different beast with a quality 1/2 that had the hard drive will to win !
Brooks needs to be shopped I have been saying it for years ..the guy just does not have that quality not his fault !

If the 6 and 7 built pressure today, we win easily.

As simple as that.

But it has been years and years of saying that.

Disagree...
It’s more about personality imo

Brooks is your ultimate Scottie Pippen he can be a strong player when he is the number 2 option.

Wow, you guys sound frustrated that you haven't had a chance to bash your own team for so long.
The Tigers were not great, the Titans put good pressure on Brooks' kicking game. The Titans had a lot of lucky bounces and a lot of 50/50 calls went their way.
If you expected the Tigers to make the 8 this year you were very optimistic, they are 3.50:1 to make the 8, so the TAB ranks the Tigers 12th

The starting pack is great. Grant, Twal, origin class, Aloai, Mikaele, not far behind. Some good toilers making up a decent pack. Halves, abysmal. Outside backs a dogs breakfast. Good halves could make that backline effective. On the to do list: Tex Hoy, Matt Burton, Billy Burton, Jason Saab.

Yes, maybe the truth is we are not very good.

It is frustrating as there are some nice parts.

But the footy IQ of the 6,7 and wingers has plagued us for a long, long time. As has the lack of a real leader.

It has been years.

And how many years have the tab had us at long odds to make the 8? And why does that make it ok?

There's always plenty of opportunity to bash our team......pathetic performances are a dime a dozen here.

It is something in our DNA.

Hard to tell what...we have had a lot of "passive / nice guy / great bloke" style captains. Maybe we need a hard, mongrel dog, type leader.

We have one in our coach but oh yeah, the players don’t like him apparently

Painful...but I was not as angry as I expected, you could see it coming.

Maybe we all need to start being honest about the team?

Brooks and Benji = a long, long, long established history of not closing out games. Repeat sets and 7 tackle sets gifted today. Almost a masterclass in how to lose a lead. Why will they ever change? There is nothing to suggest Brooksy will ever learn how to close out a game. It has been a long time. He is not a kid.

The wingers...crucial mistakes yet again when under pressure. No other teams has a pair who give the opposition so many gifts. This, again, has been happening for years. This is not a surprise at this point.

The pack...once the opposition gets vocal and starts hunting as a pack and back slapping each other, no one in our pack 'ever' takes it up at that moment. No one grins and says "boys, follow me". Once a pack dominates us, we always go missing. We have a lot of guys who can post nice stats sometimes, but no one who says.

Goal kicking...again, easy pot shots missed.

Reality = today we played a team who had not won for a year /had half of them playing almost their first real mins all season / and we had big leads twice.

You just can't lose these games, but we have made an art form of it.

This is not meant to sound negative. It is meant for us to maybe all be honest and sit down and work out what we need.

**We need halves with real IQ (at least one)**...

****We need a pack leader...****someone who barks at the others and wants the dirty hit up.

And we need a goal kicker.

And we need much better wingers.

Being honest, can anyone really disagree?

I see posts and threads like this several times a year for the last y decade

Its not OK, but there is no quick fix for a clubs culture. It takes stability and patience, so it annoys me when we have a bad game and some people demand drastic change.

Players can have a bad game or be targeted by the defence. It doesn't mean we should fire everyone and burn down the demountables.

Watched Madge's presser again...

One really good point is he said "I don't want to say it, but it is the truth" that this club has a history of losing these games / poor execution / failing to put these games away.

Yes, it is the truth.

At this point, it just is...

As painful as it is.

And there's only one constant

We just exist (make up the numbers)
We don't compete on field.
But we do off field... This is where we are important to the NRL.
Merch and corporates.. The
NRL needs our contribution in this regard
That's all they need.
We're 1/16th of a big business... Infield stuff is secondary

I was also disappointed in the halves tonight, I think only Nofa, Doueihi and Grant can hold their heads up. Our forwards all had much lower numbers tonight than they did last week.

Josh Aloiai 55min 114m
Tomas Mikaele 49min 78m
Luke Garner 67min 83m
Luciano Leilua 80min 93m
Alex Twal 76min 94m
Oliver Clark 31min 54m
Chris Lawrence 17min 24m
Alex Seyfarth 25min 40m

Interestingly the live game screen has disappeared on the tigers web page and has been replaced by the ‘pledge your money to this great club’ screen. They’ve got a bloody hide if you ask me!!
