Time to give Woodsy and Teddy a break

I ll be grateful for those who have obsessed over continually bagging Woods and Teddy all season long having less cause to post about them anymore - well at least I hope that will be the case.

Probably not - the constant whining about them will go on forever. No doubt another thread giving baggers the opportunity to rehash the same comments over and over will be starting even as I write

Where on earth could get that impression on - look how I have moved on!

I bet it won't but I bet the whining from the guys who support them and bag the club will continue.

I'll quite enjoy watching Woods wallow in mediocrity after originally intending to go to a successful club.

I actually feel a bit sorry for Woods. Every reason he is leaving the Tigers is now surfacing at Canterbury. He wanted a successful club- not currently; he wanted stability- they are in turmoil; he wanted to know who the coach is - word is Hasler will be gone ; he wanted to play finals footy - not likely. I think he was poorly advised and he is not articulate enough to discuss his situation in the media. As a result he's copped heaps and has looked bad with his image suffering. Who's had the worse season: Tigers or Woods??

I may have missed it in many topics on here but does anyone know how often a club captain chooses to leave their club?

These are the reasons why I don't feel sorry for him. He put himself above the club, thought he was better than the mediocrity its produced for several seasons, thought he was the smartest guy in the room when he read out his laundry list of reasons for leaving, now its backfired spectacularly. This was his own doing. He had months, if not a year to make this decision. How you could sit on a decision like that for so long and completely stuff it up is anyone's guess. I grant that he was badly advised, but the way he went about leaving, claiming he wanted to go to a more successful, better run club, and now for that not to be the case and he's regretting it, it eliminates any sympathy i have.

Yeah that's fair enough GNR. I reckon many would back you up. He is an adult and needs to be responsible so I don't disagree with anything you say. I just reckon he's a pretty basic bloke who was led by the nose. It's obvious he's not happy with his decision. He's made a big mistake. I suppose I just feel for him a bit. We've all made mistakes.

He was definitely easily lead and taken advantage of. The first step he could make towards redemption is sacking his player manager. Woods reputation has taken a beating this year. Its not hard to get inside the head of someone who doesn't have enough brains to think for themselves. I've never seen a player make it more obvious that he knows he made a massive mistake. He's talked the club up more in the last 2 months than the entire previous 2 years he was captain. It must be a depressing time for him. He's like a prisoner waiting to be walked to the gallows.

Agree. That player manager Isaac Moses is bad news. Must be something about the surname!

Mark Levy filling in for Hadley gave it to the Weststigers for not sending players to the Balmain junior grand finals last weekend, especially after playing in Sydney on the Friday night.
He made special mention to give it Woods, Tedesco, Brooks and Nofa for not attending, Weststigers responded by saying Bayley Sironen, Wheelhouse and 2 more U/20 players were there.
Levy then gave them another spray saying Bayley hasn't got a contract for next year, and no one has heard of or would recognise the other players. Then unloaded on Woods again for being club captain and not going, said he supported Woods but not any more, he has lost respect for Woods now.
Quite the spray really, but it is true, Woods and Brooks especially being Balmain juniors, I am sure you may here more from this in one way or another.

It's going to be funny to watch and see the lynch mob will hate next year, just think…. no RF. no Moses, no Woods, and no Teddy.
Who will it be next year.
All that bile has to be spewed on someone, otherwise you'll erupt.
Who will it be????

You serious… 😕 😕

Luke Brooks, Chris Lawrence, Chris McQueen, Michael Chee-Kam, Kevin Naiqama even Elijah Taylor have already been lined up and that's just without even thinking to hard about it...

Plenty of candidates for bile...
