If anything it's the opposite.

Wrong Flip. How you can be criticised for giving it to players who spat in the club and supporters face is beyond comprehension.

So you believe you are beyond criticism? How is that NOT taking the moral high ground?

Depends on the context. If you mean in general, of course I'm not beyond it. If you are speaking in regards to this topic, I have to question those who are being critical of my stance when you factor in everything the 3 of these guys have done to disrespect the club, and you and people like you condone it and spit bile at those who sticking are up for the club you claim to support. Sorry, if I don't understand the logic.

I don't get it either. I'll add that the guys who have dogged us and acted really poorly are getting support from guys who I think aren't supporting these guys. They just want to give it to our club.

So they spit bile and made up bile at our club and use their heroes who have acted like muppets to criticise the club. It's not exactly a high moral ground to stand on.

Then they criticise fans who are having a go at a couple of players who have disrespected the club.

I mean come on.

I've never spat bile in my posts on this topic and I'm pretty sure the others who agree with my stance haven't either. If anything we have tried to temper down the viscous bile being spat at our departing players from you and some others that has gone on and on from thread to thread ad nauseum!

I don't necessarily support these players actions, especially not Moses, but I can't come at resorting to continually posting deragatory slurs about their humanity that would be more apt to describing paedophiles, rapists or murderers! This I what I'm responding to most, some perspective would be good.

I'm happy to see the back of them, but I hold no grudges- there really is no point, imo. It only makes me a bitter person and I don't want that in my life, especially over football players! I can't wait for next season and you've said that you can't wat for them to go and that you have moved on also. If that's the case, why keep posting the negative crap about them over and over and over? If you've moved on as much as you say you have, then please just let it go!

I just dont consider a fans view on any of this is a sufficient enough reason to support the character assination of two players, no matter who they are. The club certainly hasnt supported that stance so why should I.
Unless you know them, or were privvy to what went on, during the negotiation process you will get two sides to a story mostly from the media. What information you choose to believe is entirely up to you and then you can speculate from that whatever you want. But why should your opinion influence mine when, you are no more knowledgable about what went on than me?

Woods and Teddy could definitely have handled things differentlly, but they were always going to cop crap from fans this season if they rejected the clubs offer no matter how they did it. There are more than likely things the club could have managed differently too - sacking the coach in week three of the competition didnt help the situation.
They are moving on they honored their contract its disappointing but the club is moving on too.
Not interested in supporting a bitter social media vendetta against them, but clearly some of you are. Your choice, just not mine.

I'll add one more point. I'm not interested in supporting a bitter social media vendetta against them either. This is another thing that gets me about their supporters. They keep bringing it up. I just want these guys to go and to never hear from them again. I'll just view them as another player to be hated in another footy team that we play a couple of times per year.

Just speaking for myself, they were never going to "cop crap" from me just for leaving. And it's plain to see that Ava hasn't been getting too much criticism. It was the snide way they lied and then tried to blame others for their actions that riles me.

Plenty will say, "It's just a game. Move on." Fans don't devote a large portion of their life to something that is just a game to them. They have an emotional connection. The bile is the flipside of the years of cheering and support for players even when we were terrible.

Spot on Telltails, excellent examples of extreme attitude based on lack of knowledge is when the public criticise judges sentences without knowing mitigating circumstances - they get spurred on by shock jocks who get paid for being nasty animals.

Storm meet tea-cup…

No it is not. The club captain lied to these people for two days straight promissing an appearance then doing a no-show. Get your head out of your bum.

Poor form from the captain once again, if true. And a missed opportunity for him to show some humility and regain a bit of cred.

**I actually feel a bit sorry for Woods. Every reason he is leaving the Tigers is now surfacing at Canterbury. He wanted a successful club- not currently; he wanted stability- they are in turmoil; he wanted to know who the coach is - word is Hasler will be gone ; he wanted to play finals footy - not likely.**I think he was poorly advised and he is not articulate enough to discuss his situation in the media. As a result he's copped heaps and has looked bad with his image suffering. Who's had the worse season: Tigers or Woods??

These are the reasons why I don't feel sorry for him. He put himself above the club, thought he was better than the mediocrity its produced for several seasons, thought he was the smartest guy in the room when he read out his laundry list of reasons for leaving, now its backfired spectacularly. This was his own doing. He had months, if not a year to make this decision. How you could sit on a decision like that for so long and completely stuff it up is anyone's guess. I grant that he was badly advised, but the way he went about leaving, claiming he wanted to go to a more successful, better run club, and now for that not to be the case and he's regretting it, it eliminates any sympathy i have.

Yeah that's fair enough GNR. I reckon many would back you up. He is an adult and needs to be responsible so I don't disagree with anything you say. I just reckon he's a pretty basic bloke who was led by the nose. It's obvious he's not happy with his decision. He's made a big mistake. I suppose I just feel for him a bit. We've all made mistakes.

He was definitely easily lead and taken advantage of. The first step he could make towards redemption is sacking his player manager. Woods reputation has taken a beating this year. Its not hard to get inside the head of someone who doesn't have enough brains to think for themselves. I've never seen a player make it more obvious that he knows he made a massive mistake. He's talked the club up more in the last 2 months than the entire previous 2 years he was captain. It must be a depressing time for him. He's like a prisoner waiting to be walked to the gallows.

Yeah, I reckon it was a pretty steep learning curve for the big fella this year. And then a hard landing when reality hit.

Well, hopefully he learned from it.

I have to give Woodsie and Teddy alot of credit. In a very difficult year for the WT they did make the decision to leave…..but they have put in virtually 100% every week. It will be a pity to see them go. I think both would have some regrets considering the turn around the club is going through under Ivan.

Mitch Moses on the other hand showed what a spoilt brat he is....theres absolutely no class about the bloke at all & I wish him no luck at the eels.

Thanks to Woodside for trying to carry our popgun pack over the last few seasons, and for
Still turning up and putting in the effort right to the end of the seasonAs well as the MOM award in your last game.

Thanks to teddy for the opportunity see such a talent since you came into first grade. Hope you go even better for the Chooks.
You've been one of the few bright spots in seasons where there hasn't been many at all doing likewise

Good grief …
You'll be writing mothers day cards soon..
What a load of mush :roll

Critize and call them names all you like but in my opion they have always played to their best of their abilty for the Tigers. Good luck in the future guys.

I thanks them both for their efforts on the field, but as they are no longer Tigers they are dead to me.

I've enjoyed watching them play over the last couple of years but their public comments and attitudes over the past couple of months have shown they have no class. Farewell and jog on boys
