To all the Beau Ryan haters!!!

I thought it was funny last year on the footy show when beau asked Lote what it was like to be the 2nd best winger at the tigers. Lote said it's alright, what's it like to be the 3rd best? Lol… Beau is a funny man and good player who is a great team player. It's great having him around. Go beau, but a full strength wt side will have him in nsw cup I would think.

just coz he doesn't find 1 particular guy funny doesn't mean he doesn't have a sense of humor
his type of humor is something that would have been funny 10 yrs ago but that kind of humor has passed its use-by-date IMO

I'll agree, Beau has come a long way from his days before the footy show when he was an absolute pea heart. I cant get out of my memory a game we played against the cows in 08' when beau let in some soft tries and one of them he didnt even try to compete for the footy when he was less then 2 mtrs from it, a cowboy (maybe Bowen) picked it up right infront of him and scored under the posts. I still get flack today from a few mates who was at my place watching that game in 08' who always bring it up the day after he is on the footy show. So yes, i agree he has improved 100% in the last year or so, but to be honest even today he shouldn't be anywhere near an NRL top 25.

Beau is a Terrificly Passionate Tiger as I am.But he doesn't have the size and speed of Utai.maybe the bench.Don't me wrong we love him,but when it comes to scoring a try.who do you look for Utai or Ryan?

Beau is a passionate player of late who gives 100% but this wasnt always the case…it's only recent times when there are players really pushing for his spot in the team.
As a footballer he is average although not hopeless. IMO he is a fantastic finisher.
He is probably the 4th or 5th best winger in the club. You could not say that he is better then LT,Utai or brown...guys who also give 100%
He is worthy to keep as a backup for injury and does add promotional value as long as he is payed what he is worth and no more.
Although we do have fantastic promotional players in benji,LT,rowdy, farah, heighno and ellis who the fans really come to see at the games

So mick you are right he gives his all, although trying your best doesnt make you an automatic selection.

He was the weakest link in our side last year imo. He hasn't done much to change my mind this year.

A short but good stint at fullback last year is the only highlight I can recall in his time at the Tigers.
By the way, he would be about my 4th choice for fullback next year and about the same for winger.

I do love his enthusiasm, but that only gets him so far in my book.
I think it would be best for himself to move on. Can only see him as a backup winger next year.

Thats right, probably a Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tiger.. Joel Reddy along with Ryan Cross, Daniel Vidot.. lots of outside backs are being tossed up. Add to that Brown & Utai, who may be higher up in the pegging order if they extend their stay here.

I reckon Beau Ryan could make the Luke Lewis transition. If he hits up bucketloads of weights in the off season he'd make a handy forward. Forwards need what he has, passion and determination. His deficiencies are also things unrequired in the forwards.
