To make the finals

I wish it was that easy Kaiser but the highest we can finish after this weekend is 10th we are on 16pts a win on sunday will put us on 18pts.Manly & Panthers are on 20

Whoops… I didn't realize we were on 16 including our points from the bye... damn... kinda changes things ahhaha

I have been saying this for 3 weeks, but I feel we really needed to win that game against the Dragons., as per a thread in the old forum…..

If we have strong wins against the Cowboys, Raiders and Manly , that we get us back on track for a run towards 7th or 8th spot, which will put us against the Dragons or the Bulldogs....both teams we can easily beat on our day, if all the WT players turn up.

A massive crowd at Leichhardt will show our team that their fans still haven't given up on them.

I have kept the faith…momentum...to quote the blackeyed peas 'i gotta feeling....'

One game at a time. Starting with Nth QLD this week. If the players want it bad enough, believe in it bad enough, then it is achievable. Having players in the right positions helps, but the team as a whole must show more urgency, hunger and desire to play finals football. The win against Souths can only give a team confidence. You want a confident football team running out Sunday against a team currently sitting well entrenched in the Top 8\. Hopefully Wests can take confidence, and play with that refreshing dose of enthusiasm that the side displayed against Souths. One game at a time….

I still think we can only afford to drop one more game this season.

Just went through the ladder predictor again, had us losing against Manly and the Gold Coast, beating the rest (including Canterbury, which is probably wishful thinking) and we came 9th, missing out to Nth QLD on their better points differential.

So we really can't afford to lose more than one more, unless some of those wins in between are large enough to get our for and against up.

Losing to Nth QLD would be a double blow since they are one of the other teams that are likely to be fighting us for that 8th place…

we will need to win 7 out of our last 8 games. i dont think that is going to happen. we havent even won 3 in a row this yr 😢

We need to win the next three and then re-assess. It's a funny season, even considering how things have gone this year I still give us a better chance against quality opposition than previous seasons….I do think this is a better side and when Galloway finally returns I believe he will make a massive difference as he did earlier in the season when he was the form prop in the comp. I will be happy from here if we can remain a mathematical possibility for a few more weeks to keep things interesting. but realistically I think we have dropped too many close ones to make the eight this year.

Looking at the following Ladder after all games have been played in Rd 18, even with a F/A improving it's looking more likely the Wests Tigers are going to need 30 points to secure a top 8th berth….......hence they have no choice than to take Gobbs advice and take one game at a time.......I still think we can win them all from here on (pray)

Heres hoping Thurston is smashed in Origin and too battered an bruised to play on Sunday. Ideal senarios Ennis and Thurston clach heads and both out for the season.

i like the new found optimism on our new forum i still believe i always wait till it is mathematically impossible and we are 4 weeks away from that i believe win 4 from 4 they will be talking about here come those tigers again

Well we had strong wins against the Cowboys, Raiders and yes a great game against Manly…..our team is still fighting, and as Cobbs stated....one week at a time. How great it was to witness that game last night....damn nearly gave me a heart attack , but great just the same.

By the way, how come this link to my thread in the old forum , can't be access anymore. Is there also a reason why it has been deleted from my thread history in the old forum, while my other threads still existed......here's a copy of another post, that's nearly coming true

Just before I go on my rant, I want to set the record straight.....I have been quite happy with the team's efforts this year ,compared to other seasons since the Golden year. But like many on here ,I will be very upset if the WT don't make the semis again, as September is becoming such an empty nothing month & that I have put on $400 on the Wests Tigers making the 8 @ $4.50 at the start of the season....there paying $7 today.

Being a very very optomistic WT fan I still haven't given up on that hope, as there is still 26 points on offer, but if they dont make the semis ,I am wishing for the next best thing.....that we beat the following teams

RD 14.....Parramatta @ Parra Stad of course my No#1 WIN wanted....and Robbie & Benji, can you make it by 30 points please.....**TICK**

RD 16….Saints @ SFS....back to the scene of my greatest football night ever, in 05... and just to see my cocky mates cry again. Going with 15 Tiger fans and 15 Saints fans on the Friday night and a win would give me such joy during the post match drink-a-thon...**URGGG!!!!**

RD 17….Souths @ ANZ....We can't let these jokers beat us 2 times in a season.......**TICK**

Rd 19….Cowboys @ Leichhardt....The Gypsies of the NRL have forgotten how to win consistantly at the 'Old Girl', and on a Sunny Sunday afternoon,a win there with the 20,000 fan crowd back after the above wins would be awesome to witness......**TICK**
RD 21…Manly @ SFS on a %$^&(*(% Monday night....why...because it's Manly, and again we can't go through a season losing to them twice......**TICK**

RD 25…Titans @ Skilled Stadium.....because I am going up with 7 mates, and that win would probably secure us a top 8 spot....Gold Coast nightclubs watch out then..........

If my wish does come true, and our team wins all those games, we might just never know, where the team might end up come Oct 4th.........so please the League Gods have some pity on all us Wests Tigers fans.

Tick the Rorters, Gummies, Slimey's and ScumDogs as well….we are on a roll......momentum it's a wonderful thing.....

To be honest, after last night, I don't really care if we make the finals or not. We beat Manly and have put a serious dent in them getting a home final. Of all teams in the top 8, they desperately need a home final.

If we beat Canterbury in the final round, this season will have a huge tick beside it and be the best season since 2005.
